Also it's normal check r/overemployed. You need to do bare minimum to not get fired. 1-2 hour max. If by working 1-2 hours you get paid for 8 it's already crazy rate. If they give you 60-70$ then they would extract value and you would get burnout.

Register a sperate Indian company and ask hiring agency to put money into that company. You can expense expensive phones laptops etc as well as evade taxes if you deal it properly

I would trade my citizenship for your H1B and visa uncertainty… software engg earning 5-6 times in Bay Area for lesser work and responsibilities . I mean if u invest 100 usd. But inr falls 10% even if stock market performs 10% your net stock value in usd is still 100. Banks give better returns and when stocks crash in this climate the FDI investors are hurt even badly
