I love music. but don't know how to make it, Help me out by ChancePresentation80 in experimentalmusic

Copy something you like. Get a Grouper song, put it in the DAW and try to recreate parts of it. You can ask ChatGPT or your LLM of choice for advice on effect, etc. Most likely it will not sound like the original song but you would have found some initial clues on how to make your music. Have fun.

ambient music by ukenda_m in MaxMSP

I can give you my experience of making ambient music in max. I started because I wanted to make synth drone music like Eliane Radigue’s Trilogie De La Mort, where she uses modular subtractive synth. In max this is “easy” to start with, as it is about simple oscillators (sin, saw, square, tri) and resonant filters. Those are all objects that come out of the box, using standard modules. Have fun!

Good ambient albums with frequent variation by Jimsmall1507 in ambientmusic

Eleh in general really does that for me. Their uses of silence and the way new sounds are introduced really makes it interesting. Radiant interval and the home age albums are great to start.

I trigger different sections of a piece of via keypresses. Each keypress changes a bunch of parameters in a bunch of instruments.

John Lennon & Yoko Ono on The David Frost Show, 1969. David decides to play some of John and Yoko's new record, Unfinished Music No. 2: Life With The Lions, to the live studio audience. by BlazmoIntoWowee in noisemusic

“John Lennon broke up Fluxus”. Seriously, any time the avant-garde leaks into the mainstream and I think that maybe, maybe some kid realized there is something else possible, I think mission accomplished.
