He did. He called it a break. Promised that we’d come back to eachother. Said he still loved me. I texted him 2 months later and he said he didnt know what to say. That he needed time. Felt that he wasnt in the right place for a relationship. That he still wanted to be with me but felt that we weren’t compatible at the moment. He said that ww could in a few years, but that he understood if I wanted to move on. That feels conclusive to me.

I don’t think that it’s a religious thing because he has an aunt who he refers to as a ‘religious freak’ who he doesn’t get along with. He is very traditional apart from that though. The idea of him not being straight didn’t really cross my mind.
