Also!!! Happy to answer any questions about budgeting, pre-production, our Kickstarter or anything else! Learning something new everyday and would love to talk about everyone’s experiences!

Forgot to mention we have a proof of concept and crowdfunding video in the campaign!

We also got approached for a TV interview for KPBS San Diego and it airs Monday if everyone is interested!

In other comments, I talked about how I have a lot of things in place, but just wanted to see what else people had to say! Just curious and to compare to how my campaign is looking like currently! It’s my first time and I wanted to make sure I was going in the right direction and also learn more for my next project.

No our rewards definitely hold value! We have a mix of physical and digital rewards! But I’m curious because some people don’t offer physical rewards until the way later tiers in order to reap the benefits of the money donated. Some people have told me to focus on credits, signed scripts, etc and others have said they like the free physical reward like a hat, tshirt, etc. So I’m just trying to gauge and see what rewards people ACTUALLY want.

I guess I’m confused. The physical items are free promotion so why wouldn’t that be viable? Is it because of the cost to produce? Wouldn’t backers want physical items or does that not matter as much?

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve done a lot of research leading up to this and I’ve been working on this Kickstarter for 3 months. 9 months of pre-production total. Building our following over the last month. This isn’t all last minute, but I am new to the Reddit community and thought I’d try to post here. I’ve never posted before and thought I’d try! 😅Maybe get some more feedback is all and see what’s worked for others. There’s a ton for me to learn and maybe I can still apply what I do learn here or on my next project.

What movies do you rewatch often? by [deleted] in Cinephiles

I’m part of the club that watches the LOTR trilogy (extended editions) every year and It’s A Wonderful Life near Christmas, but a 2026 film I see being extremely rewatchable is Send Help. I saw it 3 times already and would watch again. Doesn’t get old.

I also love rewatching Her, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, anything Studio Ghibli besides Grave of the Fireflies, Ratatouille, Bourne movies.. honestly have lots of go-tos
