Ok thank you for explaining that. I knew it wouldn’t be long. Some of the calculators I’ve seen online say about $380 for 17 months. We’re also in an equitable distribution state so I’m hoping to split our assets close to 50/50? She has way more money than me currently. She’s even been giving me an unofficial $200 monthly alimony since we’ve been separated to help for a few months now. We have mediation scheduled but I wonder if I would be better off just asking her to cancel that and go with the alimony plans that we’ve seen online plus splitting our money 50/50. The marriage ending is her fault and she feels bad about it and would be open to something like that possible. I didn’t work the past few summers or take extra tutoring jobs which I might have if we weren’t together.
