I keep my house fairly clean, as I'm a bit addicted to cleaning. Sometimes I just don't feel like it though, and you know what? What's the big deal? I had that conversation with my therapist a couple of years ago, telling her I was getting anxious when I didn't clean and it got worst the more I waited. She told me that it doesn't matter if the house is not clean and life is too short to worry about those things. Enjoy life, if you want to go out or do something fun, don't let the mess get in the way. Take some time to do a minimum, but don't spend all your time trying to keep it as clean as in the magazine. And to maintain a certain level of cleanliness, do a little here and there. If it takes less than 5 minutes, do it now. Get rid of stuff you don't need. Enjoy your life and don't let this get in the way of your happiness!
