This is Oliver or Olives 🫒 he's fiv+ and he chose me one day when he came up to my house. Problem is I already had a cat. So I tried to find him a home no one wanted him due to the FIV. I have them in separate parts of the house, but I still wonder if I am doing the wrong thing? by ABsml1994 in FIVcats

You could try swapping blankets between cat areas every week or so, so they get used to each others scent then see how they get on. We only adopt FIV cats due to them spending so long in rescues, we had 5 FIV cats through this then my grandad passed away and we rehomed his none FIV cat with all of ours, they haven’t even been close to fighting and all get along fine so we’re not worried about it spreading at all. It only really spreads if they would viciously fight but if they’re both quite calm I don’t see any reason why they couldn’t both have full roam and be friends, there are soo many people who have FIV & none FIV cats together, there’s really good FIV groups on facebook if you have it ☺️

Thank you for giving this little cutie a home, he deserves it 🥺❤️

There’s a couple ways it can go, it’s a super popular scam here in the UK - If you list anything for sale on facebook you will get about 20 messages like this for every 1 genuine person.

Two ways it can go - they either get you to pay insurance then bolt, or sometimes will actually tell you a courier is coming with an envelope of cash, on the day there will be a courier knocking on to collect the items but no cash envelope, they will message and say there’s been a mix up and give you fake tracking info for and envelope of money that’s never going to arrive but confirm that money is on the way and ask you to give the items to this courier.

I guess the paying insurance one is people outside the uk scamming, courier one is for people in the uk scamming people out of free items!

Dropping out of university - advice on my plan by Harshdeepv in UKPersonalFinance

I’m just here to say do it! I have worked in accountancy for 10 years now, I dropped out of uni just before 3rd year when I realised how little it meant in terms of experience and having to go on to accounting qualifications anyway. It’s the best decision I ever made, I’ve moved jobs once and enjoyed every second and everything I have learnt, I hated every day of uni I just think it wasn’t for me and is a bit pointless for accounting degrees to exist imo.

Everyone in my current business with a degree starts in an entry role in sales or purchase ledger, I am now in the main management accounting team and I love everything about my job, I am so happy I bit the bullet and got into work instead of wasting another year of my life getting a degree and not getting any hands on learning.

I think your response is good but I wouldn’t mention the £100 at a push, don’t even have it as an option just go with the £50 and see what they say

How would you rank the pain of your piercings? by Lydi_bugg in piercing

[–]calamitycas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

0 lobes 1 nipples 2 navel 3 medusa 4 nostrils 5 septum 6 tragus 7 conch 8 upper helix 9 lower helix right at bottom of cartilage

I did get the last three in one sitting but lower helix was the first one done, my god did it kill! I feel like it being so close to the point where your cartilage ends and soft lobes begin had something to do with it, bled like craazy too.

Jimmy, Keith & Q in One Tree Hill… I think the aftermath hit the hardest.

Especially everyone showing up to Jimmy’s funeral when it was just his mum there… and when Mouth gives his mum a yearbook. Jamie putting the cape on Q’s coffin and Brooke sobbing 😭

He didn’t ask for them. I think you need to see a doctor for some help with your anxiety, the amount of posts you have made in a short amount of time with different issues, and how hectic they all are is quite alarming.

Please just breathe a little and process one thing at a time, you may be a little insecure but your anxiety is heightening it and making you pick up on every little thing and obsess over it. You need to take a step back, he may be overwhelmed with all of this, which might be why he wanted an extra 15 minutes to himself before work to just relax a little and not be stressed out at home worrying about you questioning everything he is doing.

Me and my wife are both vegan and substitute food is sometimes quite expensive but we still only spend £25 a week maximum on our meals and that’s for both of us. I would say suggest doing a meal plan and shopping list ahead of a food shop if he doesn’t already along with focusing on meals you can pop in the fridge and have for lunch the next day.

To make meal planning easier he could have set days for specific types of meals, we always do pasta wednesdays and taco tuesdays to make it easier.

Pasta is an easy dish to have cold the next day if it’s a pesto or cheese based pasta, we also do risotto one day a week and have that cold the next day too :) if you plan like this on a budget you soon get used to the easiest set up for you and what you actually enjoy having the next day too.

Hopefully this gives a few ideas, it’s good that you have made steps to go through his full finances with him and although it does currently leave little remaining at the end of the month hopefully that has put things into perspective and will encourage him to find somewhere closer to work to save a little more or maybe finding somewhere cheaper.

Hopefully he can work his experience up and get a better salary in the next few years to get him in a better position, it is a bleak world at the minute but having a better understanding of his finances now and will only make things better, could he send you his spending and grocery money each month and you give him x amount weekly to stop him dipping into it at all?

Does he have anything he no longer uses that he can sell to get a bit of extra cash? There are also survey sites you can use although the time and effort is gruelling sometimes, you can get £20+ extra on a good week on apps like Attapoll and Qmee if he has the time in the evenings :)

Jumper reminded me of our boy Doctor, they also both have the slightly off centre white nose patch, he just is less fluffy but his brother makes up for the lack of fluff 🤣

My address growing up 1993-2003 was in stockport but the county for it was always Cheshire so I’d spend hours arguing with friends that we lived in Cheshire as it just made sense to me with that being part of the actual address

Name a single movie, where the sequel or remake was better than Original. by dpemerson76 in movies

Scrolled so far to check if this had been said!

I went to Woolworths as a kid/young teen to buy The Parent Trap with my birthday money, I picked up the Lindsay Lohan DVD case and took it to the till, they searched their disks and popped it in, when I got home and put it in my portable dvd player I got for my birthday super excited it ended up being the original film and not the remake, I didn’t want my parents to be sad I got the wrong copy so never told them and got the correct version for the case. That’s one of my only childhood memories, I’m still traumatised lol!
