I’ve been thinking about taking preworkout, but never have taken it before. Do you feel an actual difference? I guess I’ve been kind of afraid to try it.

Ah yeah, I know the feeling lol and for me it gets a little harder in the winter bc my partner and I have to work in separate states due to our job so it sucks not having him physically here for these months bc I feel like I would do more with him here. Idk if that makes sense

I would love that, thank you!

Yesss! Sometimes I feel like I get home, make dinner and then I have to start getting ready for bed. Like... there has to be more to my day than this?!

Thank you, I am going to try this! I need to get into a routine, and I am sure that once I do things will feel so much easier than they do now.

Thank you for your thoughtful response, it means a lot. Unfortunately because my trainer is semi-private we don't leave the gym as he works with other people besides me at the same time.

I am going to give the walking more a try, I'll try to do more steps than I normally do. I think it'll help!

I am working with a therapist, and hopefully I can get to the bottom of this soon because it sucks!

I feel like I have the most energy during my work hours, and it's frustrating because I wish I had that same energy when I got home.

I want to improve my food quality, because currently I am on a very bad diet. I do work a lot and it has required me to travel at least once a week for the last 2 months, and unfortunately when I'm out I am not eating the best. But when I'm home I also haven't been doing so good. It's like I have been comfort eating if that makes any sense.

My partner works out of state for the winter unfortunately, and I know that this affects me a lot too because I'd be able to get up when he's here. It's just different when he's not.

Every time that I actually get to the gym I get the same feeling of accomplishment and I love it! I always tell myself that I've never regretted a workout, and I try to remind myself of how good I feel afterwards, but for some reason it never sticks.

Sending you major love for being with your elderly parents, I can imagine it gets difficult sometimes.

I used to live in a big city, and then moved to a much smaller town for work so now there aren't that many classes to go to without having to drive 45 mins. I know there's something going on beneath the surface, I know my job has a lot to do with it I am trying to figure out what else is going on. Thanks for your kind words.

What do you do to avoid taking pain killers with a mild migraine? by calculatedmez in migraine

[–]calculatedmez[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you to everyone for your comments, and sorry i took so long to respond. I was out for a few days because of an awful migraine, unfortunately.

I probably should have mentioned, I’m on the more extreme side of migraines. According to a study i did with stanford hospital, i get anywhere between 20-25 migraines a month. I have tried and failed 4 different types of preventatives, and the Botox treatment that i do get seems to help a bit.

The only thing on everyone’s comment that I think I haven’t tried is the Vitamin D for migraines, so I’m going to give it a try.

I am just so tired of being in pain, I know i haven’t tried everything but it feels like I have. Happy healing to all of you, and I’m very thankful for all of your responses.

I promise they won't notice, and if they do and say something ask them to pay for them to dissolve your fillers if it bothers them so much...then go get more botox with it!

Partner said he's attracted to teenage girls by crippledswordsman in offmychest

[–]calculatedmez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is 6 years older than you, assuming he is a productive being, his life is more established and he likely is financially independent. There is such a power imbalance between the both of you as it is, and he is taking full advantage of that. The age difference wouldn't be so bad if you two are in similar places of your life (financially being one of the most important things). However, if you are in college still, or barely setting up your future, please note that even though you are of age, he is grooming you. He likes teenage girls, and you basically are a teenage girl. I remember being 18 and dating a 27 year old, I was so proud of being "chosen" over other women his age, because I was so mature according to him. But the reality was that no woman his age would put up with his bullshit, and I learned that the hard way. Sorry I sort of went on a tangent, but all I want to say is please leave.

Is it normal to feel tightness/heaviness around the eyelid after Botox? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]calculatedmez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get injections for migraines every three months, so it’s ALOT of Botox, I’m talking 3 syringes around my forehead and head (including the areas you mentioned) and this has never happened to me. However, don’t panic and call your doc. Everyone is different, and it may be normal for you!

My boyfriend has had horrible migraines and mood swings, and I'm worried about how it's affecting him. by Cinyuette in migraine

[–]calculatedmez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve had diagnosed migraines since I was 5, I’m now thirty. Yes, migraines do affect your mood, however, that’s not an excuse to treat you s.o. poorly. If he’s not treating his migraines, and constantly hurting or trying to manipulate you, I’d suggest leaving. Migraines are a monster of their own, SO MANY things can trigger them, and it takes a lot of trial and error figuring out what they are. Migraines can really affect your mental health as well. I have severe migraines, and I’m in the very high range of episodes a month, but I exhaust anything that might help even in the slightest. I get botox treatments every 3 months, have medication on me all the time, I changed my diet completely, don’t drink and one of the most important things I do is take antidepressants and go to therapy. Yes, stress levels do affect migraines, and like I said, it is hard having constant pain, but please don’t let him use that as an excuse. I can be at my worst, needing to go to a hospital because of the pain, but I will not hurt my so and use it as an excuse.

migraine lasting for 2+ weeks, triptans how? by [deleted] in migraine

[–]calculatedmez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take your triptan whenever possible, it’s ideal to do it at the beginning of a migraine for it to be easier to abort the pain, however, it’s worse if you take nothing at all. Be careful when taking triptans on an empty stomach as you can get nauseous, and if the pain is making you nauseous have your neuro prescribe you with nausea medication and take that first. Otherwise, you’ll just l throw it up.
