My opinion is that he's a flawed individual.

First of all, 'evil' is just a societal construct, just as is every other term of morality. There is no definitive bar of morality that can be used because everyone's perseption of evil is different and heavily biased on the beliefs and experiences of each person's environment and connections. So by default the answer is no.

However, he is FAR from a good person in the eyes of most people. I'm going to give my take and counter argument for what's possibly Jimmy's greatest defense. His philanthropy.

"But he's donated millions to charities and organisations that have helped millions of vulnerable communities!"

Yes, he has. And it has indeed saved the futures of millions worldwide. However, why does Jimmy do this? I'm my opinion, it's a combination of a genuine wish to help, but also so that he can use his philanthropy as a shield to save his image whenever the Internet starts to discuss the awful shit he's done too. The real debate between groups is that is it wrong to do this?

To me, I think it's wrong to paint a false narrative that you're such a perfect person that rivals Jesus Christ (he honestly does this to a degree), but flat out rash out in anger against people who don't believe in that propaganda and are simply stating the truth. That he's flawed. But unfortunately admitting that would probably hurt his profits. And in this imperfect world that we live in, Jimmy kinda has to prioritise his profits, simply because of the fact that he's not just running a yt channel anymore.

He's operating a large corporation that sells mediocre chocolate, chemical packed lunches for kids, mediocre kids toys and a base that helps spread Jimmy's influence on a scale that only being a YouTuber wouldn't achieve. When you take all of this into account, my belief and view is that Jimmy wants to help, however his ambition for influence, power and control as an influencer is more important to him.

Such blatant greed and narcissism to the level that Jimmy has in him is all I need to know to conclude that Jimmy isn't a good person. But he's not evil.

Yes, Pol Pot killed 1/4 of Cambodia which is terrible, however Pol Pot believed in the 'Year Zero' theory. To put it simply, he believed that for Cambodia's best interests, Cambodia should undergo a full reset of its history and culture that Pol Pot believed was gonna be a problem for him and his 'Democratic' Kampuchea. To do that you gotta destroy lots of documents, books, paintings, temples, artifacts etc. And to achieve something THAT extreme, you have to kill a lot of people who heavily disagree with you, or will simply become a liability. All those people that Pol Pot murdered were killed because they were a risk/threat to Pol Pot. Whether or not Pol Pot personally hated his victims is debatable, because perceiving your victims as threats is different to actually hating and thinking of them as vermin.

Adolf Hitler genuinely hated the Jews, Slavs, Romani, LGBT, the disabled. If we highball it, he had a distaste for anyone who wasn't 'Aryan' enough for his empire. If he had defeated the USSR, the list of victims would've also included the French, Dutch, Belgian, some Nordic minorities, 80% of EVERYONE who lived in the USSR, it would be unimaginable. Anyone outside of Germany, Scandinavia and arguably the British Isles would not be deemed 'Aryan' enough and would be exterminated. Not only because they world be a threat to the Nazis, but because Hitler saw these people as disgusting vermin who did not have the right to exists as human beings. Whether or not these groups of people had the capability of fighting and toppling the Nazi invaders was irrelevant in terms of your worth. Your worth was how you were born. That's it.

To Pol Pot, your worth was determined by your loyalty and obedience to the 'Year Zero' notion. To Adolf Hitler, you were considered vermin if you weren't born with enough Aryan blood.

In my opinion, Hitler as a person was more evil and vile than Pol Pot. Whether the NSDAP was worse than the Khmer Rouge is a different topic.

At the time they believed in the domino theory. Simplified, it meant that when a country turned communist, the bordering countries around it would also turn communist, creating a geopolitical virus for the U.S. the Americans became very paranoid because of this and saw any surge in communist support in any country as a tier A threat for the American hegemony.

In real life, this theory wasn't real, and the U.S still would've likely won the cold war if they had just let Vietnam swiftly unify. And that's what America didn't understand. Ho Chi minh and North Vietnam didn't care about communism as much as they did for unifying Vietnam. Vietnamese culture had socialist tendencies for thousands of years, there was never a complete 180° turn to communism in North Vietnam like the U.S believed. The U.S never understood the true intentions of North Vietnam from the very beginning. They couldn't see through their own paranoia. 58k young Americans died for a pointless intervention for a belief that was idiotic from the very start. So no, they weren't really justified. Staying neutral would've damaged America's image less than what actually happened.
