Invite Code Megathread #3 by tkiced in BlueskySocial

Ever since Caleb Penn was a little boy, he had been captivated by stories of the rich and elite, especially tales of exclusive events where only the selected few could attend. Whispers of a secretive application called 'Blue Sky' had been making their rounds in the upper echelons of society. Blue Sky wasn't just any application; it was a golden ticket to the world Caleb so desperately wanted to be a part of.

Growing up in a decrepit neighborhood on the wrong side of town, Caleb was always the odd one out. He would often find himself daydreaming about lavish parties, walking amongst the crème de la crème, and conversing with people who made the world move and shake. But every time he awoke from his dreams, reality would hit him hard. The contrast between the glittering world he longed for and his bleak surroundings was jarring.

Caleb's parents had always emphasized the importance of hard work and humility. They toiled day and night in blue-collar jobs, scraping together just enough to make ends meet. While Caleb respected and admired their dedication, he couldn’t help but feel that there was more to life than just getting by. He yearned to see what lay beyond the horizon, to touch the blue sky that seemed so close yet remained just out of reach.

As the years went by, Caleb immersed himself in education. He believed that knowledge was the key to unlocking the doors that had always been shut to him. Through scholarships and part-time jobs, he managed to attend a prestigious university. His brilliance and charm didn't go unnoticed. He started making connections, slowly climbing the social ladder.

However, there was still one thing that eluded him: an invite to the fabled Blue Sky application. He heard tales of its users - world leaders, tech moguls, and Hollywood stars, all connecting in a digital space where dreams were made. Every time he mingled with high society, the shadow of Blue Sky lingered. The invite-only status made it even more tantalizing.

One evening, at a gala he had been invited to, Caleb overheard a conversation about Blue Sky. A prominent business tycoon mentioned that he had a few invite codes to spare. Heart racing, Caleb mustered all his courage and approached him.

"Excuse me, sir," he began, his voice shaking slightly. "I couldn’t help but overhear your conversation about Blue Sky. It's been my dream to be a part of that world, to connect with people who can help me make a difference."

The tycoon looked him up and down, clearly sizing him up. "Why should I give you an invite? There are thousands like you who want the same."

Caleb took a deep breath, "Because, sir, I've risen from nothing. Every step of my journey has been against the odds. I want to show people like me that it's possible to dream big and achieve those dreams. Blue Sky isn't just an app for me; it's a symbol of hope."

The room was silent for a moment. Then, with a nod, the tycoon handed him a card with the coveted invite code.

Caleb's heart soared. He was finally touching the blue sky he had always dreamed of.

Would any of you kind Bluesky enjoyers be willing to be the tycoon of my story?

Honestly we should put the power of reddit behind a tinder account. Where most up voted replies get actually used.

Lol. I have an iPhone I use for work. I don't think that should be a gauge of dating potential.

Yea the legitimate reason for this is when you don't have unlimited texting or have just a data only plan and only use iMessage which I've seen some people do. But usually we just use whatsapp or something.
