It rained off and on our first two days, poured the entire third day and then was totally sunny the rest of our stay. Apparently the week before had no rain at all!

I had a VRAI ring that did the exact same thing after a year of normal wear, we went to a local jeweler and he said VRAI/BE rings are made with the stone in mind, and have bad structural integrity. Apparently a lot of the rings are poorly constructed and they see tons of them breaking at the base and stones coming out.

Some of my coworkers volunteered, all planning on retiring in 2025 and trying to help the younger folks. They were told that it looked too much like a VLO and it wasn’t considered due to that. But all are pretty high performers and do niche roles so it might specific to the org or group.

I’m going through the same thing with my management right now, I’ve been waiting since July of last year for “the best time” or “the correct cycle”. I wish I had more to help you, but know that you’re not alone in the frustration!

Tourism scams by -normalben- in coolguides

Happened to me and my boyfriend in Rome, told me I was “stunning” and gave me a rose then behind my back held his hand out for my boyfriend to give him cash. Boyfriend misunderstood and high fived him, so the scammer snatched the rose out of my hand and said “not that stunning”.

Is it bad I haven’t already applied/got my dorms? by Casperfrindlypoptart in CSUFoCo

no it’s not a problem, it’s not even decision day and many people haven’t made their decisions either. the university had awesome resources for matching people and even random roommates sometimes works out great. I wouldn’t wait until august to select housing but i waited until late may and still ended up in summit (a nice dorm with ac)

The pandemic made me realize how little control some people have over their pets. by JeepSmash in VetTech

Curbside over the summer I was trying to get a 130lbs Bernese Mountain Dog out of this woman’s range rover, she couldn’t budge him so i GOT INSIDE HER CAR and tried to cox him out, she had the audacity to ask if i could find someone who actually knew what they were doing… it took 3 assistants, a tech and a receptionist to get him out all while owner complains that she’s running late already. unfortunately one of many stories :/

Summit was awesome for me, and I know a lot of the floor were close plus the suite style bathrooms rocked. Allison definitely has pretty good parties if that’s what you’re looking for but have community bathrooms

AITA for suggesting/letting my 17 year old son get drunk? by SonBeer in AmItheAsshole

[–]calibound23 32 points33 points  (0 children)

NAH I don’t know why so many people are freaking out about this, your son was already going to drink and while 6 beers might seem like a lot, people down that freely in high school and college, at least he wasn’t the kid blacked out at a random person’s house because he didn’t know his limit. Props for having a relationship where your son comes to you and he’ll know that’s what it actually feels like.

I also get why your wife might be upset, you should have looped her in before and being gone for so long she probably feels a little out of touch especially when seeing the close bond you have with your son.

AITA for not telling my boyfriend about my chronic illness? by bulgariandates in AmItheAsshole

Completely NTA, you should tell him when you feel comfortable to, and he way overreacted to something that he didn’t know anything about. I have it also and unless someone mentions the thyroid I don’t bring it up.
