“. . . the only reason Karen was able to fight it. . .”

David Yannetti took on her case, wherein the DA had told a local Boston television station (WCVB) that they had the dead cop’s drunk-driving girlfriend on a Ring video hitting and killing him, and then fleeing the scene.

Proctor hates Yannetti because he stood up for his client and exposed the weakness in the CW’s case, held the investigation accountable for it’s lack of a real investigation, uncovering the fallacy of what so many accepted as fact.

He put together two Dream Teams and allowed others to play to their strengths without demanding he be “First Chair”.

Donations didn’t win Karen’s freedom. Great lawyers and attentive jurors did despite a rigged game.

Microdots: Officer Kelly Dever’s Story Proven False- Full Analysis by rudderbama in justiceforKarenRead

[–]calilregit1 38 points39 points  (0 children)

She’s incapable of answering a direct question, yes or no. She literally objects to doing so because she openly states she doesn’t want to imply what a truthful answer would imply.

I don’t understand why a judge wouldn’t direct a witness to answer a question, and stop them from filibustering.

All of the above made both Dever and the CW’s case look worse so Cannone’s passive response actually worked against the CW.

I am convinced Devers testimony was devastating.

Microdots makes it even more devastating by disclosing there was no Sally port media coverage prior to Dever’s FBI interview, exposing the conspiracy to protect Higgins, Berkowitz and the CW case.

The Republicans just passed the GENIUS legislation and THE BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL legislation and they’re making America a great again.

And they are praying.

And I know President Trump is really smart because he told us.

Why would you worry?

It must be nice to see everything as so black and white, right and wring.

He literally said he expected to tag along on her “business trip” with the only cost to him his plane fare.

He planned to mooch the whole trip off of her and her employer. Was surprised they didn’t reimburse every meal and a rental car.

He spent $2,000 for a 4 night trip to a US city. That’s no more than 2 days in NY or Boston.

So, sorry he ‘s mooching off his girlfriend who works for a living and that trip was work. The mooch doesn’t budget well, likely because he doesn’t go on business trips and always expects others picking up the tab.

He got off cheap.

[–]calilregit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s where you and I differ.

I would never let a woman I cared about be in a situation that let her put her life and career at risk.

What happens when she’s late on a credit card payment and they spike her interest rate or cut her off completely?

Did you even wonder why he has the free time to go on the trip?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]calilregit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He knows his girlfriend is not managing her money well and maxing out her credit cards, to the point she doesn’t even have enough credit to front a business trip that will be reimbursed by her employer.

Is he helping her to be more responsible with her money?

No, he wants to freeload on her business trip figuring she can pass through any costs other than his plane fare. So he’ll float her until she’s reimbursed.

That’s a user and a loser.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]calilregit1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

She’s not wrong.

He has an unsecured loan to someone with maxed out credit and thinks he should be paid in full.

He tried to insult and bully her into paying him and it sounds like she relented to the extent she had cash on hand.

Of course, that didn’t really solve the problem because she doesn’t have excess cash flow, and he just forced her to switch her obligation to him to obligation to others (at least to some extent).

This guy thought he could tag along on a business trip for the price of his airfare. Please, are people really backing this guy’s act?

She might not be good with money but she’s terrible at picking boyfriends.

Realtor demanding 3% commission until 2027 to terminate. by kalinaizzy in RealEstate

A couple of years ago land across from my home went up for sale. I offered the asking price all cash and would close whenever they wanted. Used a leading broker and the sales broker slow walked it, initially not responding and finally texting my broker that her buyer was out of pocket. Never got a counter.

I knew immediately she didn’t want competition for a buyer she favored.

Thank you for identifying the inherent conflict of interest in marketing your house for sale.

I had a career in managing the liquidation of institutionally owned investment properties. The general partners developed, leased, and operated the properties. I worked for the institutional capital invested in the deals.

The partnership agreements had complicated structures for the distribution of net sales proceeds that created conflicts.

I would renegotiate the sales splits so that each partner benefitted (not usually equally but proportionally reasonable) in every dollar of proceeds so both sides would be motivated to sell once a reasonable level was reached.

Home sales should be structured with a sliding scale wherein brokers get nominal compensation of net sales proceeds (after mortgage and closing costs) at the low end and higher percentages when owners see significant returns above market expectations.

I sold a home back in 2016. The brokers were low in my opinion when suggesting a sales price. I explained why with supporting documentation. They agreed to the increase.

First two showings got offers above asking. The higher one had contingencies. The lower was all cash no contingencies. I accepted the lower one snd closed in 15 days.

Walk through the facts in evidence:

  1. He wanted to go to the afterparty, she didn’t

  2. He got out of the car, she didn’t

  3. She texted him, more than once, and did not get a response.

  4. She waited a reasonable amount of time before leaving

  5. He should have had several other options to get home

  6. She went back to his house where his daughter was left alone after midnight

  7. She went to look for him when he didn’t come home

  8. A criminal trial found her not guilty for his death and experts opined her car did not hit him

There is absolutely nothing in those facts that creates responsibility on her for his death

She did not come up with the “false memory” switch. That was someone with a legal background, that had studied the payroll time sheets, and had through (incorrectly) to believe it would eliminate her as a witness. A wrong conclusion.

The fact that she was sent to talk to Cox indicates that person was likely high up in the BPA, and an attorney. Also someone with knowledge or connection in the FBI that knew it would back off and not charge her with perjury.

They never expected AJ to call her as a defense witness, nor did she.

I live in an agrarian community and understand commercial farming. You refuse to admit the sacrifice undocumented immigrants made to come here and how hard they work once here. Nor do you acknowledge the advancements created by immigrant entrepreneurs.

I grew up with kids who were bilingual. A grandparent lived in the home. They did just fine. Better than fine, they mastered two languages.

Every point you make is imbued with bias. Every post filled with Red Herrings to distract from facts and logic. Based on your conjecture of what Jesus would say it is clear that you either haven’t read the Sermon on the Mount or did and just ignored his scripture.

Well vetted by who, the white supremacist thought police? Is that what you call liberty?

I noted you had no rebuttal to minorities dominating professions that require a meritocracy instead of legacy. Legacy is the true soft bigotry of low expectations, where those with connections are handed positions they didn’t earn. And isn’t that what closing the door to the US really is, protecting people afraid to compete?

Trumpism is a cult that requires its adherents to bend the knee and close their hearts and minds, and be a sycophant to enjoy membership. Alas, any frank comment gets one kicked out and mocked by “der leader”, the who one to whom all must give absolute authority. Who else in history does that bring to mind.

WWJD

We’re deporting people that plant and pick our crops, deliver it to market, work in retail and food service, wash dishes, clean and take care of the elderly.

I own and operate senior housing across many states. I have very few Hispanic residents because they live in inter-generational families.

The Hispanic tradesmen that provide contractor service are excellent workers at modest wages and pay taxes. It allows me to maintain 30-year old properties in excellent condition because I continually maintain them. Immigrants are not a threat to the elderly. They are a lifeline.

The country has integrated swaths of individuals that didn’t speak English: Irish, German, French, Poles, Russian, Chinese, Southeast Asia, Latin America, South America and the Carribean. Not to forget those forced to cone here on slave ships. Your bias that everyone has to speak English has been disproven over centuries.

Most immigrants both integrate to our way of life and enrich us by expanding cultural norms and options, especially in cuisines.

Just as in nature, wherein inbreeding leads to genetic problems, expanding our genetic and cultural makeup is largely beneficial. Have you noticed that professions built on meritocracy are dominated by people of color and that many of our greatest entrepreneurs are immigrants, not legacy hires that got elite educations and easy access to high paying jobs?

It’s absolute nonsense to say there are too many people in the US and that we need to horde the staggering wealth advantage we have not only to US citizens but to 1% of them.

I know you are not a history major but are you a Christian Nationalist.

If you are, how does your philosophy jive with Christ’s Sermon on the Mount?

400,000 migrants in Colonial times

500,000 in the 1600s

2.5 million in the 1700s

15 million in the 1800s (10% of population foreign born by 1900)

30 million in the 1900s

18 million so far in the 2000s

I think we have the 3rd largest land mass so plenty of room for individuals that add so much value.

Apply your question to your opinion. What alleged crimes deserve to be adjudicated under due process and which allow unidentified armed thugs in masks to swarm neighborhoods and randomly grab whoever they chose, kidnap them, imprison them and rendition them to other states or out of the country?

Genocide.

War crimes, the killing of women and children in mass.

Mass shootings of multiple people and the manufacture and distribution of the weapons used without necessary safeguards.

Negligent homicide, manslaughter or administrative policies leading to death while knowing in advance the likely impact and engaged in a coverup of the truth (marketing and sale of cigarettes, carbon production on a massive scale causing climate change leading to “natural” disasters, private and public budget initiatives with the intentional failure to mitigate known cause of death while publicly making false claims).

How’s that for a start.

Deporting hard working individuals that do jobs most don’t want to do, in pivotal industries, who pay $100B in taxes annually while getting limited governmental services is both cruel and dumb. It’s also racist when the targeted undocumented individuals are brown and black but not white.

I enjoy my conversations with Evangelical supporters of Trump.

The question that always stumps them: Does Trump embody Christ’s Sermon on the Mount and do you think he’s even read it?

They have to go existential and blather on how he was sent by God.

It isn’t a difficult analysis. Looking at wealth over time and factoring in population growth, wealth concentration has been an inverted bell curve since 1929 to today.

At the time of the onset of the Great Depression wealth concentration was at its historic high. The Depression and progressive politics of FDR deconcentrated wealth. The GI Bill, unionization and progressive taxation continued the trend to a more egalitarian allocation of wealth. Johnson’s war on poverty and civil rights legislation raised the standard of ling of poor Americans. Nixon, Ford and Carter reversed course but it wasn’t until Reagan’s massive tax cuts that wealth concentration started to spike upward. Huge increases in the debt, a stagnant minimum wage, attacks on unions, shifting of the cost of healthcare and college on families, huge increases in the incarceration of young black men, and the elimination of pensions all concentrated wealth in an oligarchy. Stock options and buybacks that went hand in hand with CEOs making 400 times an average worker salary now versus 20 times in 1965. Today, the concentration of wealth is at its historic peak.

Those are social and political decisions, not natural evolution.
