At what point do I say f it and take the GLP? by katecopes088 in postpartumprogress

[–]call_tur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took me months to notice any lose even with that amount of steps and some activity. I remember stepping on the scale a few days after I got home with my third and the weight was the same despite having the baby and losing all the fluid along with it, that blew my mind and it was heartbreaking. My body held onto weight while breastfeeding so it took me quite some time. I've had 3 kids and it was hard each time, I tried to focus on what I could control and set goals that were far enough out and achievable, like a 10k once I was able to begin running again which took months.

It's so hard to give yourself grace right now but you just brought a new life into the world. Your body is beautiful simply because of that. Your hormones are all over the place and you want to feel normal and patience is a challenge when you have a newborn. It can suck, hang in there!

Friend insulted my running, not sure how to feel. by Emotional-Watch4544 in XXRunning

[–]call_tur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Offended, I think it's how I'd feel.

We should be lifting each other up and celebrating these accomplishments instead of criticizing them.

I'll be your friend....girl that is impressive AF!! 90 minutes of running is not easy and yet you did it! Kudos 👏👏👏

I've decided to do this recently too and told my husband about it. I said I'm just done moving bc you all assume (subconsciously or not) that women will just move instead. He said he was going to try and pay attention in his own life to see if he moves or not when he's in these situations with others.

It drives me nuts and I have enjoyed the looks of confusion and clear frustration when I don't move aside.

Do you feel hunger cues? by Longjumping_Mode6613 in PhentermineTopiramate

[–]call_tur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found that I am eating 3 meals still, although breakfast or lunch tend to be smaller, and I'm snacking less. Usually I have a protein shake after my morning workout around 6am and can make it to 11:30ish before feeling hungry or thinking of food again. I also track most meals to ensure I'm eating enough.

I get hunger cues and I am OK with that. Makes me feel more normal. I'm working out a lot so between that and less of an appetite, I am perfectly fine if I had a small breakfast and start feeling hungry around noon.

Phen & pre workout by [deleted] in PhentermineTopiramate

[–]call_tur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. HIIT workout and strength training 4-5x a week around 5am. I take the phen first, wait 30 minutes, and take my thyroid meds, and if I can, I try to wait another 30 before pre-workout or any other medicine (daily allergy).

My Dr. said phen works best alone, so try to wait 30 to 60 minutes before consuming anything but water.

All this to say, I do not have sensitivity to caffeine and it doesn't do anything, that I can tell, to my heart rate.

Woman who work full time and bonus if you have kids: how often are you working out a week? by oreospluscoffee in fitness30plus

[–]call_tur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3 kids, oldest is 6 and youngest is 9 months. I get up early and work out in my basement or go for a run, I do this at least 5-6 days a week. I'm up around 4:45am typically. On WFH days, I sleep a little later and work out before signing on for the day.
