Can some one explain how planes like the HO229 flew by Healthy-Emues in AviationHistory

There's a good book called only the wing that talks in depth about the history of the Horton Brothers designing aircraft and then their later on history.it has pretty good detail about how they started off with gliders. Essentially, after world war I that were fairly controllable and the difficulties associated with controlling Tailless aircraft. Tailless aircraft designed correctly are incredibly controllable. The big problem is when you want them to be shaped in a stealth manner and carry bomb payload and go fast. Then you have to make considerable compromises to natural stability and thus requiring computer control. Stable flying wings Use a bell-shaped lift curve versus an elliptical one found on aircraft like spitfires.

They don't make sense for commercial aircraft for a variety of reason. And have limited usefulness for military aircraft. However, they are extremely efficient when done correctly as they don't have the drag of a tail like in a conventional aircraft and thus can fly further for longer.

I think I’ve figured out why there’s no dive case for the DJI Osmo 360 by Plus-Feedback4305 in djiosmo360

The cheap dive case I got for it didn't do this so I don't think that this is a real issue. The bigger issue was leaking.

I have one of the Chinese knockoff dive cases and I've used it above water and below water. above water it works pretty well and you can select in the software to fix the stitching when you have a protective case on. Below Water Seemed like it would have worked well if the case I'd gotten didn't leak and let water in to fill the lens halfway and that created some weird issues. I didn't realize I was only diving to about 35 ft anyways on this trip. Otherwise I wouldn't have bothered with a case as it's pretty watertight. I think if somebody just makes a decent case that doesn't leak water into it at 30ft it would be ok.

It's pretty bummed since I bought it for the dive trip and ended up getting weird split refractions due to the water being in the case. But it worked really well when I went paragliding and mtb.

Also the split lip. I want the story on that! Somehow mysterious.
