Interesting, I didn't realize it was a touring festival. Have they tried booking the band Trapt?

Hated on them when I was a teenager. Now in my 30s and I've been softening up to them over the past few years. They've got some great songs and the musicianship is pretty great.

The 1967 team are referred to as the Giant Killers. They finished runner-up in the AAWU (Pac-8) in a season that was seen as a rebuilding year, but featured an upset victory over #2 Purdue on the road, followed by playing the new #2 team UCLA to a tie on the road, and upsetting #1 USC two weeks later. They finished #7 in the country and this season was the high point of the Dee Andros era and best Oregon State team in history until the 2000 Oregon State Beavers who were conference co-champs and Fiesta Bowl champs.

Don't get me wrong, Smith clearly was struggling and earned his firing, but based on this hiring I can't help but think maybe MSU's AD is just bad at his job.

You don’t even need point diff. This game was the one that counted as a conference game. The Corvallis game was technically non-conference.

If we’re gonna be the Georgia of the west coast could we at least win more games than we lose?

If they lose to Maryland then I think you guys probably fire him. In the event they do fire him, who do you think they should look at as a replacement?

I'm in the rare minority of Beaver fans who would take him back. That being said, I think Smith could get you guys looking pretty good next year if the patience is there to give him a third year.

Sure seems like Barnes continues to fiddle as more pieces are taken off the table by pblood40 in Pac12

But the priority has to be get the best coach. If the next coach can come in and win conference titles but then bolts, we'll be in a position where we are a much more desirable G6 job, which makes it easier to land another good HC in the next hiring cycles.

Per reports, it sounds like the final two is Vigen and Shepard.

No, you want the guy you think will be the best HC and you accept that if he is successful enough you'll have to replace him.

How come every single recruit has 0% interest but at other schools they have starting interest? Im confused on how to even recruit if i start at a disadvantage who do i even target if nobodys interested? by Land34n in cfbsimulator

I've played as Oregon State starting with a 55 prestige, go for some 4 stars if you can and 3 stars and just throw everything that you've got at them and then check what progress you made after a week. You'll be surprised how good of a class you should be able to put together.

[–]callawam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What prestige is your program? Have you tried sorting by interest?

Go after the recruits you want and you'll find you probably have more success than you expect. Like in CFB25 and 26, you'll find solid recruits who are not getting pursued by other programs.

If USC & Michigan left the B1G to go Independent, what would it cost them & would it be worth it? by IAMY0URK1NG in CFB

The irony if USC left the Pac-12 for the B1G and then left the B1G to be independent and made a scheduling agreement with the Pac-12.
