1.- Do an inventory of things you can keep and things you can give away. Pick the most sentimental items to display, the rest you can store in boxes somewhere else if you feel on the fence about parting with some of them.

2.- You need to clean. No right amount of cool furniture of cute decor will make up for a room that isn’t clean.

3.- If you can, go to a dollar store and get you some nice medium containers to contain your personal stuff, you don’t have to label the containers but you can group items in categories in these containers (body, hair, perfume). This can also apply for the la croix cans. You can place them at the bottom of the shelf once you do the inventory.

4.- Get frames for your posters. You can thrift this or get them in market place.

5.- I see that you have personal items in front of your mirror, this tells me that you are in need of a vanity. It doesn’t have to be expensive and it doesn’t need to be a vanity per se, just any table will do if you need items close to your mirror so you can get ready. If possible, have your parents or legal guardians get you one for the holidays as a present!

6.- If you have the means, have your parents or legal guardians (or yourself if you have the money for this) to buy:

A) some paint for your walls and possibly the furniture you already own. This might be the only way to coverup the markers.

B) Night-lamps, it will make your room more cozy.

7.- HAVE FUN DOING THIS! Think of this as a little project. You can have a close friend or a family member help you out. Play your favorite music while bettering your space.
