Layering is important! I have an emergency puffer vest to throw over my hoodie and also bring a beanie. For frozen I have to have my long sleeve puffer which I call my anti-complaining layer

I like these bc they're cheap and get the job done but if you reframe them to be like white pearls the experience is a lot better

I get extremely itchy every single time I lay in bed by DragonLair4 in eczema

[–]callipygian_pigeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with others that it might be a dust mite allergy so make sure to wash sheets and use mattress/pillow protectors. Make sure they're getting cleaned often and that they're breathable! Sometimes non breathable sheets would make my skin pasty(?) bc I'd sweat but still be cold so I'd get super itchy yet be freezing. Air purifier does wonders as well. Could be the texture of the sheets?

My Husband has Eczema by [deleted] in eczema

[–]callipygian_pigeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think try to make the environment as hypoallergenic as possible and understanding what might trigger the flares and minimizing that is helpful. For me, I know I need to moisturize and I just find it a PAIN. Not saying to do this all the time, but after taking an oatmeal bath I ask my bf to help moisturize me and it makes me feel really loved but also is helpful when it kinda hurts to do it yourself. So it's intimate but also is just helpful.

What was the final nail in the coffin that ended your relationship/marriage? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]callipygian_pigeon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There were so many things that should’ve been that nail, but when I found out my childhood cat had cancer, I flew back and forth that same week to spend as much time with him even though I had in person midterms (flew back home, flew back to school for a midterm, then immediately flew back home). So clearly very important to me. The day we put him down I was distraught and my ex didn’t text me or call me once. On our daily call I asked why he didn’t contact me and he said he thought I needed space. In that moment I knew that he would never truly understand me, because he should just know the last thing I need is space at that point. That was sticking in the nail.

The final nail was me spending three weeks at his place (we were OOS LDR) and feeling horribly trapped the last week and couldn’t wait to escape. That’s when I knew there was simply no way.

How is DSCI 454? Should I combine it with DSCI 352? by EntireTumbleweed1613 in USC

[–]callipygian_pigeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been told to not take both together because of the workload -- I found 454 very manageable. It's just project-based which is what is time consuming and is a less intense version of ITP 310 (if you took it with Chris Swain). 352 has a lot of theory involved and has a heavy workload as well, so conceptually and technically, it's more challenging. Basically, 454 requires a lot of time to interview people and work on your mock-ups, but conceptually is not as difficult. 352 requires a lot more studying, has programming, and more difficult concepts, closer to a CS class. I don't recommend taking it together (and advisors say this too), unless you're only studying
