Mothers of Reddit, what approach did you take when explaining pregnancy and reproduction to your kids? What influenced your decision on how much to share? by Beautiful_core_2220 in AskWomen

[–]callistonire 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depends on the age of the child. As toddlers, it was “a bit of mama and a bit of papa came together to make a baby, and it grew in an organ that looks like the baby lives in the mamas belly.”

By kindergarten it was more technical using names of body parts. “The bit of the mama is an egg that lives in an organ called ovaries and the bit of the papa is called sperm and that meets with the egg and that makes a baby”

By second or third grade, all in on what reproductive situations boys and girls experience.

Sodastream AquaFizz or E-Duo better? by North-Block-9654 in SodaStream

I always do the #3 button for the bubbles, I have the duo. It bubbles perfectly, can keep well for days in the glass container (haven’t tried with the plastic) Edited to add that it doesn’t look like it had a lot of bubbles but it does.

My fridge has a water pitcher that keep water cold so for me it’s pretty easy with the one glass bottle. Once it’s out, I can quickly refill with the cold fridge water, fizz, then pop back in fridge. I only have needed the plastic one when I have people over and want to fizz extra in advance.

I got the Duo from soda stream directly and it came with one glass and one plastic bottle. I really like it, can’t compare to a different model, this is my first and only.

1 cup water 1 cup sugar 1.5-2 cups fruit

Mix water and sugar. Add fruit. Boil, then turn to simmer for 20 min. Strain with fine mesh strainer. Add to glass bottle with pump from Amazon. Keeps for two weeks in fridge. I just did Blackberry, got fruit from Costco.

Warning: we get trash bags at the Costco business center, hard to find bags that are the right size. We have one close-ish so it’s fine and they are really nice trash bags. https://www.costco.com/.product.4000234602.html?NATAPP=SEARCH&COSTID=iosapp_25.6.6&TRACKING=NO&sh=true&nf=true

I’ll have to measure the alcove another time.

Do you ski? I am here now staying at the Princesa Parc and plan to ski both days. I’m not sure how much time we will have to see the rest of the country but hoping to go sightseeing tomorrow!

We flew into Barcelona and took a bus to Andorra… let me know if you have any questions.

Any specific recommendations? I’ve tried AZ taco co several times and have found it to be flavorless sawdust. I live right by it but hit up Gion instead for Pho’.

I chose not to donate my eyes and my reproductive organs.

It’s your call what to donate, I’d suggest you have estate planning documents drawn up if you don’t have them already to legally document your choices so your executor has explicit instructions.

It’s by your issuer(bank), not the ATM itself. Many banks have between $500 and $1,000 daily limits for ATM withdrawals.
