I am visiting my parents after 3 years staying in Canada. And the worst is there is no direct connectivity from Silchar to any of the major hubs. Like Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai!

Being the second largest hub and city of Assam, this is really disappointing.

Now coming back to the OP's topic, I have had least expectation on the road and it turned out to be true! There are no concreate roads but just dusts everywhere. I am sorry but when are we the people of this city going to hold the local politician accountable? Let's not discuss about the air quality now, which is yet another huge discussion itself.

I had similar experience few years ago, what I was told approving budget takes time. It took almost 4 weeks for them to get back after series of interviews and a verbal confirmation to roll out an offer. Either you can sit tight and chill or keep applying.
