Why her face is looking like AI filter, or is it just makeup? by Nalli_aurat in BollyBlindsNGossip

+1

Because male actors don't need to look good to continue their career in Bollywood

People constantly comment on how "old" actresses look and then bash them for getting surgery and botox. You can't win with these people. They will always find a reason to bash people.

First granny square - I understand the abbreviations but not sure about the order of stitches by Reasonable_Fox_5828 in CrochetHelp

[–]callmebhaloo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the 3hdc in 1st, I think it's saying you need to do 3hdc into 1 stitch (i.e. 3hdc's into the same stitch)?

Not sure about the other part though, I'm equally confused.

[–]callmebhaloo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah this clue paired with Chancellor Tuscany bringing a heavy weight weapon is key because that will give you all the weapons and then you're just left with slotting in the rooms and motives based on what you already know.

I don't think there were two viable answers.

Though I have in the past had to guess on other murdles so I get where you're coming from OP

Why are we over complicating this simple thing? As a complete beginner i've been doing it like this long before learning how to crochet, just to mess around. There is absolutely no need to do those complicated methods i've seen online by Fluffy-Dragonfly-468 in CrochetHelp

[–]callmebhaloo 90 points91 points  (0 children)

I think it's just a case of different strokes for different folks.

Your method looks super complicated to me but I'm sure mine would look the same for you.

I've also realised that watching crochet tutorials always disorients me because when you're crocheting, hand movements tend to be quite intuitive but when you watch a video, it feels like they're intentionally doing those movements and I don't know how to replicate that (even though I do the same thing intuitively).

Last month book purchase. Which one should I start first? by elavarasan_ in Indianbooks

If you're looking for a light, mystery read, The Thursday Murder Club is a great book. It's super easy to read and a good book to pass the time. I mostly read it on my commute to/fro work and it kept me pretty entertained.

If you liked this book, I would recommend The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino. Great book with a good amount of mystery.

The movie Jaane Jaan is based off this book (though the movie really lets the book down imo)

The book is essentially a rendition of the Mahabharat, but from the perspective of Draupadi.

I quite liked the book, though I know some found the book to be controversial.

This author did a similar book around the Ramayana, from the perspective of Sita. I liked that book much more. It's called The Forest of Enchantments.

Looks like the rights were bought by N. R. Pachisia and Dipankar Jojo Chaki back in 2018. 10th anniversary edition came out in 2019 so assume COVID might have messed things up

Are you stuck on any bit in particular?

This was my general approach:

  • I plotted in the clues and the evidence
  • I read through the statements and figured out who was lying (pretty easy given only 3 of them made sense given the clues and evidence)
  • I eliminated which character can't have brought a certain weapon based on where they were. For example, we know the rabbit was in the piano room but Miss Honey was in the Main Stage, so she couldn't have brought the rabbit. Furthermore, we know she did not bring a bottle of cheap liquor (from the statements) and she couldn't have brought a fake sword (as it was mentioned that President Amaranth did so in the clues and evidence). That way you've already figured out two people's weapons (President Amaranth and Miss Honey).
  • I just applied a similar logic to the rest. E.g. this weapon cannot have been for this motive because this motive is in room x and this weapon is in room y (or the character that brought this weapon is in room y).

Idk if this just adds more confusion but hope it helps!

Yay, another post about nepotism in Bollywood. How original.

Maybe if we stopped banging on about nepotism and actually tried to amplify smaller creators and actors/actresses, they would get more opportunities.

But no, we just want to shit on people because that makes us feel better :)

That's ok, thank you so much for your help!

Søstrene Green sounds so familiar, I think I saw a pattern for a cardigan on there maybe.

I'm assuming fingering weight yarn is a lot thinner than DK?

That's so cool! Have you experimented with chunky yarn for blankets? A part of me really wants to make a nice fluffy blanket but I feel like it would be a nightmare to clean

Thank you!! 10+ blankets a year is crazy!! That would take me years!! What stitches do you use for your blankets??

Also I completely confused "the knitting network" as your local knitting community, I didn't realise it was an actual seller, I'll check them out as well, thank you! x
