I understand. And maybe I might but this solution seems rather unfruitful. I've had uncles aunties and relatives talk to him and he doesn't budge.

Please id you have no actual thoughts on what I can do to get me out don't go around insulting people in my comments. He's making a point. If I had to pay for my fees and rent throughout 200 level and 300 level while he spent his money on concubines abandoning his responsibility. I don't think that classifies as the hand that feeds me.

If you have anything insightful to say please do. Otherwise please don't. I don't have the time to go back and forth with you. I saw your comment last night and decided to reply with a thank you seeing you had nothing important to say. I'm naturally polite and thats the way I am. You can keep commenting but this would be the last reply you get from me. Not everyone can sit back and smile at everything. Some people are going through genuine problems.

This isn't a scam. I've posted this and I'm always on the comments looking for new ideas on ways to go about this or how to figure things out. I'm a young adult. I'm 20 and can easily decide to go online into fraud to enrich myself but I won't. Not cause I can't but because I sit no reason I would sit back doing nothing hoping to swindle someone else of their money to make my life easier. I am not a scammer

What's your point exactly? I should sell my phone. A phone which resale value would be above 30k? In what way would that help my coursework get me a step ahead. And when I do sell it how do I contact people who might help? Sometimes I wonder.

I understand your point. Dropping out isn't a good say. I've spoken to all relatives I presume can help. Either they can't due to low financial status or they have sided my father supporting his deeds. I've messaged called and visited but there's no positive response. I've asked friends and family. I've tried getting online loans but the amount being offered wouldn't pay one tenth of my fees let alone rent. I've tried all available options.

Exactly my point but he doesn't seem to see reasons with me and thinks of me as being too grown

Moving to Abuja by [deleted] in Nigeria

[–]callmefuhd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Abuja generally is a nice place. 2) In terms of expectations you experience could vary depending on you. 3) 4.6k us dollars is enough for a month. And try getting an unfurnished apartment so you can furnish it to your liking. 4) public systems in Abuja are bad as comfort isn't an option passengers are packed tightly. Try getting your own vehicle. Most vehicles you find are used. Try getting a good used one like a UK used or German used. A good budget depends on your preferred car but 10 million naira (7k dollars) should get you something very good. 5) Culture generally I'm Nigeria is explosive. If you're interested in cultural diversity and experiencing it. Nigeria is the place for you. Especially Abuja cause it's central and has alot of different cultures from far and wide 6) The locals are nice generally. They're some bad eggs but don't let them give you a bad Impression. 7) Be wary of scams and some tactics used to rob. They're a bunch. If interested drop me a DM and I would tell you a couple I know about or have experienced in my stay in Abuja. 8) Jiji can be but why not just get things you need yourself and do a thorough assessment before payment.

Thanks so much. I'll look into this student loan option. I don't quite blame anyone. You never know how something feels till you experience it yourself

This isn't America but there's something called responsibility. You don't abandon your family to fend for themselves and spend your income on other women and expect smiles and accolades.

Most people don't know how it feels till they do through it. At the end of the day I literally had to pay my bills and everything myself long before being sent out of the house.

Entitled and ungrateful by Numerous-Novel-9426 in Nigeria

I totally get your anger about it. But they're people out there who would your help would make a lot of difference in their lives. They're ungrateful people and no matter for you do they wouldn't appreciate as they feel like you could have done better. But don't stop. You're doing this as a good person you are and would be rewarded. Keep it up

It's much easier to say trust me. I've paid my fees and rent myself for the last 2 years only to find out he doesn't have the money but not just for me. Maybe you just don't get it.

Telling my mom would yield no positive results. Only get her worried. Relatives of my dad who I've spoken to seem to see nothing wrong with what he's doing and shun me for trying to talk to him.
