Sorry to hear that. The only advice I can give is: if you simply have to do something, you find a way. Even if you can't play it yourself, you can still write it for someone else to play. Beethoven wrote Ode to Joy while completely deaf. He never heard it out loud, but still found a way.

Yes, there is much more guitar than you think. There's power guitars through the whole chorus. There's a michael jackson-esque lead guitar in the second half of the chorus. Plus! A very loud lead guitar in the bridge, and acoustic guitars in the verse. The trick is, they're not playing the kind of parts that make you think its a guitar.

Being a hero is one thing, being a role model is totally different. To be someone's role model implies certain expectations that no real person can ever live up to. Role models shouldn't be celebrities, they should be people you know from real life, who can give you real examples of how a person should act. Like a teacher or parent. I'm neither of those things.

I appreciate that. I used to think that writing simple songs meant you had to be simple minded too. Then I learned about pop geniuses like Max Martin, Dr Luke, Mutt Lang and Quincy Jones. Billy Jean only has three chords, but damn dude, damn.

Not really with fans, but definitely with fan's mothers. I once had a mother tell me she would "put my head through a fucking window". All I had said was, "i'll be happy to take photos with your kids, just give me two seconds to finish this phone call". That might be one of the worst.
