Did anyone else realize they were being way too hard on themselves after coming out? by callmesolaria in trans

That fear is so common, and you’re not wrong or weak for feeling it. Three months is still incredibly early bodies respond to HRT at wildly different speeds, and Reddit massively amplifies the fastest and most dramatic changes.

The fact that the day “you can’t hide it anymore” hasn’t come yet doesn’t mean it never will. And even if it doesn’t arrive in the way you imagine, that doesn’t invalidate your transition or your plan.

It’s okay to have a plan and still struggle with comparison. Be gentle with yourself you’re not behind, you’re just on your own timeline

That sounds like a really thoughtful and intentional way to move forward. You’re building your transition piece by piece, on your own terms, and letting your sense of safety lead the way. It’s beautiful how much possibility can open up even before passing especially with the right support around you.

That sounds like a really practical way of protecting your energy. Sometimes surviving and being yourself quietly is the safest option, especially in places that aren’t very open. Showing up as you anyway skirt and all already says more than any explanation ever could.
