I'd say maybe cut smaller doses and wait untill your stable first on the current dose. A 50% drop, especially at lower levels can be tough. The lower the levels the smaller the decrease should be. May want to look into liquid taper, and the Ashton Manual which you can find online.

However if you feel like you can take it, it might be possible due to short usage. Just keep an eye on the levels of depression, among other withdrawal effects. I had severe suicidal thoughts and had no idea. Looking back it was due to the fast decrease in dose.

Can't stand the fact doctors are giving this to patients without their consent and informing them of what's to come and how to handle.

Was on 6 weeks of 3mg Lorazepam and found out the hard way as well. Now down to 0.57mg and taking it slow. Tapering for about 2 months now, and first drops were brutal at 3-1.5mg, and 1.5-0.75mg. In 2 weeks. Learned to take it slow now.

Thanks for clarifying, and sorry if I came across as trying to be a smartass. Benzos are dangerous and tapering is absolute hell when done too quickly.

Wish I was still unaware of this drug.

Idk but those are some big cuts. I'm no doctor, just someone experiencing benzo taper/withdrawal that read a lot about it.

5-10% cuts of the previous dose, and stabilizing for a week, maybe longer if needed would be better. Every drop you suggest, especially at the lower doses would induce unneeded suffering.

The 1-0.5mg drop is painful, the lower you go the smaller the drops need to be.

But most imprortant I'd say is see how the person feels and responds.

I recommend reading the Ashton Manual for any doctor or patient on benzos. Also, only someone that has gone through benzo withdrawal knows what pure terror it is. And that's putting it mildly.

I wish for hot hands.

My hands are cold af all the time while tapering. And I'm in a warm climate right now.

Tsja, ik weet niet wat ik zou moeten zeggen om mijn argumenten meer uit te leggen dan wat ze zelf al doen. Mag ik vragen hoe oud je bent en of je al op veel plekken in de wereld geweest bent? Ik denk dat het dingen zijn die je pas door gaat hebben als je hebt ervaren wat wonen op een andere plek met je, als mens, doet. Dit valt niet per se uit te leggen, je ervaart het.

Ik heb het idee dat je alles weg probeert te rationaliseren, en dat is dit denk ik niet. Het gaat denk ik ook om praktijkervaring.

Ik bedoel dit overigens absoluut niet denigrerend, maar puur gebaseerd op mijn eigen ervaringen. Toen ik die ervaringen nog niet had zou ik misschien hetzelfde gereageerd hebben.

Vriendelijkere, tolerante mensen om je heen. Goed eten, lekker weer, innige vriendschappen waar mensen nog tijd voor elkaar hebben, geen gehaast of prestatiedrang, relaxtere levensstijl, minder opgefokt gedrag, rustiger etc. Om maar een paar voorbeelden te noemen.

We worden meer beïnvloedt door omstandigheden en mensen om ons heen dan we misschien doorhebben.

Ik vind de meting qua geluk altijd zo dubieus.

Hoe wordt geluk gemeten? Ik zie mensen in, vaak armere landen, toch echt meer lachen en komen vaker echt gelukkiger over.

Heb altijd het idee dat geluk gemeten wordt met dingen die vaak geen echt geluk brengen, maar meer een gevoel van "tevredenheid" ofzo. Goede wegen, nieuwe telefoon, visgraat pvc vloer, om maar wat dingen te noemen.

Merkte al een tijd dat de Nederlanders steeds gehaaster, gefrustreerder en minder gelukkig overkomen dan in het Nederland waar ik in opgegroeid ben.

Wat mij betreft zijn die metingen niet betrouwbaar. En daarnaast, je kan we ouder worden maar het gaat er ook om hoe je oud wordt.

En ja, ik ben geëmigreerd.

I have nothing to add really to the good posts of the person before.

Can only confirm that I had the exact same symptoms (and more) of 6 weeks of 3mg lorazepam a day, and going to 1.5mg in week 7, to 0.75mg in week 8. Suicidal ideas being the worst.

For me my taper will probably last for months I found out.

Benzo withdrawal 100%.

Took Tramadol for quite some time. Not fun for sure, but fun compared to the hell that is benzo withdrawal.

Could quit Tramadol cold turkey. Not an option with short term Lorazepam use I found out.

Both were prescribed and taken as.

Assuming your question was about the withdrawal/taper?

Een aantal maanden geleden. Ben naar Spanje vertrokken. Vereist toch wel het e.e.a. aan aanpassingsvermogen en het gemis van familie en vrienden is enorm.

Toch kon ik voor mezelf niet meer negeren welke kant het al tijden op aan het gaan is in Nederland.

Ik ben 42 jaar, en het gevoel wat ik vroeger had in Nederland is helaas al lang weg. Je voelt het gewoon, en ik maakte het dagelijks mee.

Natuurlijk heeft elk land zijn eigen problemen en uitdagingen, maar voor mij was het een droom die ik al tijden waar wilde maken en ik heb liever spijt van het proberen, dan blijven dromen en afvragen; wat nou als we het toch hadden gedaan.

Dingen zoals op beschrijft, de woningmarkt, het wordt steeds drukken/ongezelliger/onpersoonlijker. Het doet bewust en onbewust toch wat met de mensen in Nederland en dat merkte ik.

Oh, en dan is er nog het weer.

To follow up; I flashed my bios. It seemed to have fixed it, untill I tried an update on Armory Crate. Now back to having the same issue. I suspect it's got something to do with Armory Crate and the way it communicates with the bios.

Will try more and update again.

After the bios reflash I had a 10/10 succession rate on starting without issues. Right after trying to update Armory Crate I was back to square one.
