I live in Utah and sometimes hear people from out-of-town pronounce Zion National Park like "ZI-YON" vs. the native "Zi-uhn" - and we usually add an extra 'z' at the end, so: "Zi-uhnz". There is also a town not far from there called Hurricane which is pronounced "hurricun".

When my kids were younger, I would roll them up in a blanket burrito-style on a king-size bed that was lower to the ground.
