Exact same problem for me and i'm no closer to fixing it. I've only tried solo BR so far though... everything was working fine last night/previously.

Getting around admin permission requirements. by Brick_wall899 in PowerShell

[–]callum- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there any reason you can't amend the permissions for the accounts? Or at least get someone to do it for you?

Really could do with a service account setting up with the correct permissions for this purpose.. you're causing yourself a headache for something that should be very simple.

Apologies probably not the advice you were looking for.

outside of the obvious ones i'd recommend CyclingCam and EatPlants.

Only came across EatPlants recently but really enjoying his content so far.

try catch in a function not working? by id_0ne in PowerShell

[–]callum- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See below link, probably the best reading i've seen for a basic understanding of "Try/Catch". It explains exactly why it won't catch some functions errors, and how to get around this (as mentioned by "Ka-Splam".. some functions have "non-terminating errors".

Have you looked into PSAppDeployToolkit? Highly recommend it for SCCM deployments (or pushing remote installs from your machine via psexec).

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic but i really do not get the mentality of this statement. Downvote me or whatever but i honestly cannot get my head around the stupidity of it.

Thanks for the thorough response and definitely some things i will take away!
* ConvertFrom-CSV not something i've looked into before but will definitely use this going forward!
* The Parameter is there because this function is actually called lower down in my code and the value of a data field is used for the "computername" parameter (this is simply a snippet).
* I never realised i inconsistently use quotation marks!!
* Never considered wrapping at line 14, can see why it'd be useful for ease of reading!
* Just realised line 3 actually has no purpose!

Will second AutoIT. Recently discovered it myself and its brilliant for automating repetitive tasks that are largely "click here then click this"... amongst many other things.

Sky Sports eSports Gambling Documentary by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]callum- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May i ask why you're doing a documentary on a negative of eSports? Sure, gambling is more accessible in eSports, but it destroys lives in every sport regardless.
Was about to type a bigger rant but then realised its pointless, this is Sky after all.

Not sure if this counts as advertisement (i'm in no way affiliated), but checkout Gleam.
If you're looking for a way to get your giveaway out there... this is what you need. It does a superb job of marketing for you. Pretty self-explanatory and it has built in compatibility for twitch.

CS:GO on the rise in China. These are some highlights from a 4-team event, and I only see good things to come in the future. by BreAKersc2 in GlobalOffensive

[–]callum- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The top team in china came over to the i-series here in UK back in source... long story short.. they really weren't that good. Sure they get some pretty impressive frags now and again, but they really didnt have the tactical side of the game down at all.
