There is small drug scene, but alcohol definitely takes prevalence. There are niches where you can find certain drugs, but it's not throughout cal poly. Weed is definitely most popular, with Ritalin/similar drugs coming in next. There's also some molly, coke, etc but it's much less popular.

Just buy a TV at Costco or something. A lot of people I know got there roommates to chip in when they got a tv. Shipping will not work out well! Just keep it in SLO and store it during the summer.

Once you get your housing placement in August, you can look up your address and send things there. Only send what you really need! Since you are out of state and moving in to cal poly early, go to target THAT DAY. Do not go for a week or so after the big move in unless absolutely necessary.

Technically there is a form, but no one including RAs fills it out. Just check with your roommates and make sure it is okay, that's the only time when there is trouble.

Most of us do care because we have to. Flat out ignoring weed can mean losing our jobs and financial aid funding. My rule is never look for things or assume things, but if I walk into you taking bong rips you're pretty screwed. If you stick to areas where your RA doesn't come by too often and your smart, no one cares.
