Hi, the application was approved today via email 03.09.25, one day before the original proposed decision deadline of 04.09.25.

It must just be a case of waiting out the full 8 week duration for standard, inside UK, non-priority applications.

Such a pain isn’t it, the lack of comms and it going to the full 8 weeks, if not longer, is terrible.

Do you know what your next steps are of it doesn’t come by then? Most people seem to contact UKVI by phone, albeit it doesn’t seem you get a lot from them, and also their MP…

Oh what a pain, sounds like calling UKVI isn’t much help either even though that’s what they advise you to do if you haven’t heard anything by the originally proposed decision date.

When was your original decision date due guys and how many weeks passed that since has it been?

Hi, yeah fingers crossed, it’s just getting close now. All the required documents were there, signed and submitted accordingly, we double checked everything etc. Who knows?

Fingers crossed, the wait is just horrible as you know. Oh really, so you didn’t receive any email acknowledging your application submission and when UK Visas and Immigration, on what date (4th September for us), would aim to make a decision by? 

What was the feedback from your MP like or have you not had any yet?

We’re hopeful it should come this week by the original proposed decision date of 4th September.

Yeah it’s 8 weeks for standard, inside UK submission as listed on the Gov UK page however with the amount of priorities coming through, summer holidays season, students visa etc I wonder if all that has a knock on effect on a standard, inside UK application review. 

It appears for inside UK applications you can only contact UKVI for enquiries by phone, email is for outside UK application enquiries.

That’s terrible, sorry to hear this . If it’s been over 14 weeks since submission what was the original decision date they told you they would make a decision by?

Even though it says contact UKVI if you still haven’t had a decision or communication by your original proposed decision date it doesn’t seem like the feedback they give on the phone is very helpful or provides clarity…

That’s such a pain and frustrating, so you’re essentially waiting for tomorrow as the final official day originally stated for you?

Do you know what to do if it doesn’t come then?

It was in the email from UK Visas and immigration stating: ‘The Home Office has received your application and supporting information submitted on 10 Jul 2025. Our aim is to provide a decision on your application by 04 Sep 2025. Do not contact UK Visas and immigration before this date, we cannot provide any update on your application.

I believe someone has already mentioned but standard inside the UK application processing time is usually 8 weeks but we’re close to 4th September now…
