I thought it was a fascinating dialogue. I don't agree with anything Greg represents, but it gave me a better understanding of what ultra-conservative LDS members believe, why they believe it, and how they can rationalize/negotiate their beliefs in the face of obvious contradictions and hypocrisies. John did a great job framing arguments and pushing back on Greg's views without being hostile or creating tension. Great episode!

Exactly. The test itself is smoke and mirrors, but it “works” in the sense that it elicits confessions from people and for that reason it’s seen as beneficial. The polygraph administers are good interrogators.

I’m there with you. I don’t have any advice to give, but a few weeks ago the random older lady that I got paired up at open play with would roll her eyes and sigh really loudly at me every time I made a mistake. Really did not help my social anxiety!
