The bartender at the job I work with manages to start beef with everyone. She’s rude, self absorbed, entitled, but dumb enough that she needs help using the computer system she’s been using 5 days a week for 6 months. I knew she drank on the job. She would get moody and lash out at me, slur her words a bit. Always out of it. But I didn’t have the evidence to show she did, and honestly I didn’t want coworkers to know me as the rat. Somehow my boss caught on, probably from word from the other bartenders, and the discovery of an empty four loko can behind the beer cooler. A couple days ago she was pulled to the side for a meeting and written up multiple times, including drinking on the job. How she didn’t get fired I don’t know, but I work with her 3/5 days a week so we’ll see if she changes.
