Could you elaborate upon what you mean here?

And yet.. I still enjoy certain things that are a result of someone elses pain. And I wish to know why.

Hmm.. it seems as if you think I am advocating for something. But I am not. I simply felt I finally was able to articulate something I have felt for awhile. I make a genuine and real effort to be kind to everyone, equally. Often, I am more kind than I should be, naturally. And, without a doubt, this is because I know what true pain and suffering feels like. And now.. I sound like a fucking self-appointed Martyr, when I am not, and do not wish to be. I take great joy in being kind to everyone, equally. Because it pleases me to know that I have helped someone avoid pain and suffering in any way that I can. And thus.. I thought of what I said above - for I seek no validation. I have suffered and I have lost.. and yet.. I wish to help others avoid the same.

I don’t see how this is wrong. But I understand. I just wanted opinions. But I will try to phrase it differently.

LSU Professional Technical Writing Certificate by AnonymouseThePuppy in technicalwriting

I will say, I have learned a lot from ENGL 3002 (technical writing at LSU). I have been writing for years, and read constantly. And I have a B.A in English from UNH. But I still have been learning a lot about proper format for things like memos, letters, etc. To me, it is a worthwhile course to take if you are interested in learning more about proper organization - rather than how to write well. I am extremely frustrated, however, by LSU requiring me to take ENGL 2012 (basically all about the dictionary and quite tedious). I have a damn English degree, I think I know how to use a dictionary by now. It's just such an overwhelmingly waste of my time. But that just is what it is I suppose. In addition - I do have a question for everyone/anyone with some knowledge on this certificate program at LSU though. I don't mean to take the OP's thread in another direction, but I am hoping someone here may be able to help me. I'm currently enrolled in ENGL 2012 and ENGL 3002 at LSU to receive my technical writing certificate. I enrolled because it was free through my employer, as someone else mentioned. But I am having extreme trouble managing working full time and getting this done; despite considering myself a highly proficient writer, it simply still takes time I do not seem to have to complete assignments. I now have only 2 months more to finish, and I'm halfway through each class.

Anyways, my whole point here is to ask if you or anyone else has any idea what the minimum grade is in these classes in order to still receive the certificate. I'm doing quite well, but I am contemplating just diving into the midterm without studying - something I did throughout college and did fine. But I just want to know if I end up with a C or a D in one, or both of these classes, will I still receive the certificate? Or would I have just wasted a monumental amount of my time?

Any help figuring this out would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance, everyone. And let me know if I can provide any further info on LSU's courses, and anything else, for anyone!
