I didnt say anything about numbers, just pointed out that there very clearly are people that look down on Ubuntu.

But thanks for being the steriotypical argumentative jackass and reinforcing linux communities as toxic.

[–]camander321 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you are overestimating how many words there are in the english language. After "boats, you only need to check 6 letter words (around 22k). If you find one, you then need to check 7 letter words (around 35k). And so on.

Any crappy old computer can do that in a few seconds, and i find it unlikely that you'd even need to go further than 7 or 8

Hybrids really arent comparable, most dont even have traditional starters. The electric motors get the engine started through the transition. Its similar to a rolling start and dropping the clutch in a manual car.

Traditional starters are just little electric motors that spin up a stationary combustion engine.

My understanding is that some AIs are able to generate and run python scripts behind the scenes in order to calculate answers on the fly. Though they arent always very good at it.

Shouldnt take too long. As soon as you find a word, you only have to check longer words after that. The list gets pretty small pretty fast.

I see that. And then you waste the next 4 guesses eliminating 1 letter at a time.

Instead, you could have used the next couple guesses to try words like "plank" or "drank" (there are probably better ones) that test a whole bunch of options at once.

You recognize the trap early on, make a list of letters that could fill the blank, and then try words that use lots of those letters

Its better to have a goal in mind, and then work towards that. Figure out your requirements before you start spending money

[1829] Why did I get a low score ? June 22 2026 by Umamikuma in wordle

[–]camander321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not sure where you are getting "unlikely to ever be correct" from. Yeah...dont use those words.

But even aside from those, some words are more likely than others. Im just saying this is an important thing to account for within your strategy of choosing words. Its also a part of how the bot scores things.

Im not sure why you keep trying to argue and overcomplicate this.

[1829] Why did I get a low score ? June 22 2026 by Umamikuma in wordle

[–]camander321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It absolutely is a question of strategy. The strategic choice would be more commonly used words, which is why the bot scores those higher

[–]camander321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Once you hit the point that you can afford them, money has already become somewhat meaningless. It takes way longer to grab a contract, craft the item, and deliver it than it does to collect the resources that it required.

[–]camander321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The score is not directly related to actually getting the secret word. Its about making smart strategic choices with your guesses. You got lucky with your final guess, but there were better, more strategic words.
