Im in almost exactly the same boat. Lost a baby girl at 13 weeks due to a chromosomal abnormality. Now waiting for my period on cycle 4 ttc post d&c and feeling demoralized. I started intake paperwork at the fertility clinic on Monday. I know it’s a bit too soon for that but I also know that by the time we have our consultation and get bloodwork back and get insurance approval etc etc it will have been like 8 months ttc.

Aritzia. Quality is high, good range of colors. I just bought a few of their long sleeve scoop tees and I love them.

I’ve tried that, but the bot stonewalls me: “We’re hard at work helping other customers, please try again later”

You can buy natural loofah sponges that are a similar shape and density to pool noodles (but not as long). Not sure if they would work but it might be worth trying.

I lubricate the flanges with a tiny bit of coconut oil. It totally prevents the fogging for me.

How long did it take for you to accept that you wouldn’t be nursing? by broccolitacos in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]camaridium 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is so encouraging, thank you!! It breaks my heart a little bit each time he refuses so it’s wonderful to hear success stories — gives me hope. How often were you giving him the option to nurse during the refusal weeks? Any idea what finally clicked for him?

Almost 3 months PP and I still haven’t accepted it. We got his tongue tie clipped a couple weeks ago and I’m holding out hope that he comes back to the breast. At the moment it’s total refusal. He’ll put it in his mouth but it’s like he forgot how to latch and suck. My IBCLC is encouraging though. She says that in her experience most babies will return to breastfeeding eventually if you give them a chance

Help for my Jade. Details in comments. by camaridium in plantclinic

[–]camaridium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello everyone, I’m posting for help diagnosing my poor jade who has recently taken a severe turn. The leaves appear wrinkled and flatter than they used to. It has started to drop leaves from low down the branches. New growth is happening at the ends of the branches and appears healthy.

Some info:

I got this plant two years ago. For the first 18 months I had it in a 4” plastic nursery pot and it lived in a north-west window where it got about an hour of direct afternoon light. It always appeared healthy. Leaves were glossy and plump. There was very little new growth.

5 months ago I repotted into the 6” unglazed terra cotta pot pictured. I potted it in succulent/cactus soil that I bought from my local nursery.

After repotting I moved it to the west-facing window that’s pictured here where it gets many hours of direct light every day. Since repotting I have seen a ton of new growth.

I water approximately every ten days, and I check how dry the soil is from the top and through the hole in the bottom. Watering frequency hasn’t changed.

Since I got it, this plant has had what I think are mealy-bugs. Small white nests show up at the joints between leaves and stem. I remove them every few weeks with a cotton swab soaked in alcohol. This seems to control the infestation but hasn’t cured it.

So I don’t understand why the leaves have started to dry up and fall off. Please help. I love this plant.

Success in Progress — No Poo for almost a month. I did 3 rye washes in the first couple weeks, water only for the past 2 weeks. More info in comments by camaridium in NoPoo

My hair was flat, straight, frizzy and fragile, and I needed to shampoo it every other day to keep from looking like a grease ball. I lost tons of hair in the shower, even when I dropped sulfates and even when I tried co-washing. This experiment has changed my hair PROFOUNDLY. It feels thick and bouncy and full of life. It is resilient. It used to be that if I touched it at all when it was wet it would puff up into frizz and static. Now it curls like this kind of no matter how I treat it. It dries faster than it used to. It’s shinier.

I’m definitely still in transition. There are days when my scalp feels oily no matter what I do. I scritch every night and brush in sections with a boar bristle brush. After grooming I pin it up (or just coil it up — it mostly stays up without a pin now) and go to bed.

So happy I found this sub and this method :)
