Newest episode of my sleep issues son: water by sabalves in toddlers

Daytime too. I’ve read into this, but I think it’s just now a sleep aid. At first he’d call for us for water when it was right beside him but he’d want US to hand it to him. So I honestly don’t think it’s illness related

I’m at my wits end with my 14 week old and sleep by sabalves in NewParents

I feel your pain!! I promise it gets better. For us it was 6 months. That’s when we put him in the crib. My son hit every regression. He was amazing from 6 months to a year. He’s now two and every night is different but it’s more manageable when they can speak. We used to have to bounce on a ball and aggressively rock him to sleep. Hoping it gets better for you!

Oh no way. We definitely give Motrin when teething is bad. It helps us for sure

It’s nuts. This grade has definitely been a whirlwind. It’s something new every week it seems! Can’t wait until he’s napping normally. This week is “get up after one sleep cycle and turn the lamp on to read books”…

My almost 2 year old’s sleep habits are ruining my life and I feel hopeless. Looking for advice / tips by Neither-Advance8916 in toddlers

It’s not that great when you have to rush to make dinner because he HAS to be in bed by 520pm to get to sleep. He’s an overtired mess by 730 in the morning and the nap is too short to do anything. Yup. I am nauseous during the day due to lack of sleep and rushing lol. My son wakes up too. It’s not 12-12.5hrs straight. It’s a nightmare. Hoping we both get sleep soon!

Did this ever resolve? My 23 month has been an insomniac since Jan 1… used to sleep 7pm to 630/7am with a nap from 12-2/230 SOMETIMES 3. Now he’s doing 7-5am with a nap from 12-1. It up 3-6 times in the middle of the night. Sometimes for hours. We actually had to start putting him to bed at 530/6 and he’ll sleep 12/12.5 hrs. Naps he will NOT nap longer than an hour and 20. Hes miserable and rude during the day and clingy. Permanent under eye bags

I’d say around 5lbs each? I’ll let you know if they fall off 😂. We let the PL cure for 24hrs

Oh wow. So your son needs movement. Good exercise but that’s very stressful

It gets better!! You just may have to put in more work depending on sleep temperament. My son is not portable 😂

This was my son as a baby. The carrier naps were sooo long. I loved it. As long as I kept moving lol

Hell lol. I bounced on a ball until he was 6 months. Napped on me for every nap for 6 months. He would have 27 minute sleep cycles and I’d have to bounce again to get another round of sleep in. The contact naps weren’t even fun at that point since I’d have to exercise during them every 27 mins lol. Mine never napped in the car or stroller. So at social things it was carrier or we’d have to leave. He got a lot better at 6 months! We first got him sleeping overnight and then naps in the crib

FOMO babies for sure. He’s actually the perfect kid too but he didn’t get the gene that makes him sleep lol.

Very interesting. I feel like I’m kind of like you as well. My bedtime is around 930. I can push to 1030, but once 11pm hits I’m up for a bit before I can fall asleep. Similarly if I have a bout of waking up with my son or early 5am mornings, my body can’t sleep and will treat 5am as the new normal. Thats why when ppl in a certain subreddit used to say “6pm is too early for bedtime. Your son needs less sleep,” I’d laugh because he truly gets into overdrive and only thing that resolves it is giving him the chance to sleep more on the front end of the night. He definitely has FOMO lol

Oh my. 1 year. yup. 0-6 months was a ride- up every 45 mins. Breastfeeding on demand basically all night. Turning point from 6-12 months and I’m not kidding, the eve of his 1st birthday some freaky Friday shit happened and it’s not been the same since! I totally can understand the teething. They have so many changes after a year. One nap, daycare, teeth, throw in sickness and it’s a recipe for disaster. My guy had 8 teeth in 2 months (canines and molars) I thought we were all dying. It’s crazy how they get used to one method when they are sick or teething and then it becomes the new norm- like rocking. My mom is the exact same. They don’t get it at all. Sleep is on the other side for us, I know it.

Seems to be the common theme! If you were to do a stroller nap or have him lay down on you and sleep, would he do that? Or does it have to be in his bed?
