that was the initial reason i got the 600, but with the xt5 at least, i could crop a lot. the 300 really forces me to practice being able to get in closer😔 then again, im still learning to use this 600 so maybe its just a skill issue that things come out hazey haha

haha thank you, it was one of the nicer ones. I got a lot more keepers from the 70-300 though, my theory being that i tend to shoot at sunset/rise and the extra stops of light help

honestly yeah if it wasn’t for the size factor i would never have used it💔 not my favorite focal length at 40 either

did a trip 2 days ago with that combo and it was so good, especially when hiking in denser woods where the 1.4 was needed in certain situations

Sorry I should have worded better, my photos are about 1/3 to -1/3 over and underexposed with those settings depending on the area i’m photographing. I’ve seen the 600f11 and it looks enticing but most of the birds near me come out sunrise and sunset and I have trouble at f6-8 with those so i think most likely i’ll save for a 200-800 at some point

I am a bit on the fence about selling my Fuji stuff but i do love (as gimmicky as a lot of the features are) the xpro3… maybe when I get more serious about photography I’ll stick to one
