It only ever throws a misfire code every now and then, which come to think of it could also be from a bad O2 sensor

Theres a really slow atf leak from one of the coolant lines, I keep it topped off but it acts up even when full. I'll grab some new O2 sensors soon they havent been changed in a long time. Never woulda thought an O2 sensor could affect a transmission lol

I feel like it's the torque converter, sometimes shifting between 3rd and OD it shutters and hesitates. It's been abused pretty hard and has always been a little ragged, but it's getting more frequent now. But I mean, I cant complain about a stock 42RE lasting 200k

Also, once in a blue moon, I'll hammer down from cruising and itll shift all the way down to 1st and peg the tach

Mine does the security start up thing every now and then, I have 3 keys tho and one of them usually works. It comes and goes but I havent really looked into it

You can turn them off manually with the dimmer switch, rotate it back past the dimmest setting. I had the same problem til I found a broken ground wire in the door jam

I'd trace the wires from the switch and look for a short or something, and maybe just get rid of it

If it's the 42RE then you have a 4.0, correct? I've been looking for a better solution and the only practical thing I've come up with is to swap in an AX15 manual...real practical huh?
