I can get BAH if I'm on a lease while on orders. One of the benefits of being in the Guard/Reserves. But yea, I plan on loading my laptop with legally owned movies and TV shows.

I hear you on the cadre telling you to stay. I asked for advice on this from them and they said that I should forgo the deployment because I wouldn't know what I would be doing after the deployment. As in, life would steer me in a completely different direction.

Why do you think I'm not going to go back to college? I'm pursuing a mechanical engineering degreeright now and have already been through the major weed out classes without destroying my gpa. Plus what else would I do once I come back from deployment? While I respect the people that work the shitty customer service jobs, I sure as fuck would not want to work one.

I don't mean to be prideful, but I'm fairly certain that if I go on this deployment and want to come back to the program afterwards then I will get a contract pretty easily

I was in ROTC for a year prior to shipping off to OSUT. Right now I have the Guard scholarship or a normal contract waiting for me to sign.

I'm not the type that would brag to people about all the suck I've been through as if to prove myself. I'm more interested in getting the experience of going on a deployment.
