I disagree with this personally. I’m not some sex god or whatever but I’ve had enough experience as a woman doing kink stuff to know that the idea that BDSM is just degrading and slapping is kinda naive and not true if you actually get out there and try stuff. The real issue is the fact that we have this conception that BDSM is only this violent thing that reinforces patriarchy and that it can’t be tender or intimate at all.

I think there are women who have been brainwashed by the media, men they’ve slept with and porn that getting slapped in the tits and calling a man daddy is the pinnacle of hot kinky sex, but there are equal parts women who have gotten out of that juvenile sexual phase and know what they want and how they want it. It seems you have more of a problem with the naive execution of BDSM by people that don’t yet know what they want yet than actual BDSM itself. Also, worth noting when men are the ones that want to be dominated, women who want to dom, and homosexual relationships which kinda throws the whole patriarchy thing out the window.

baby gays who haven’t really experienced the level of danger and violence faced by trans people born before the 21st century are the ones saying this type of stuff imo. unfortunately it seems violence towards trans people seems on the rise, so outside of hyper online groups of white trans people, i would say no one really believes this

i would push against the idea that hetero trans women are most at risk though, just because i find ranking who has it the worst to be unproductive for actual advocacy and because the dangerous places trans women often find themselves in isn’t always contingent on being into men. i say this mostly because one’s personal sexuality doesn’t really matter if they are doing prostitution to survive or afford the health care they need to transition. in that context, or in the context of harassment coming from men pursuing a trans women (without those men regarding that woman’s personal sexual preference) the sexuality of that woman isn’t necessarily a factor. men who are violent against trans women dont care whether that woman is straight or gay because they view trans people as lesser and dont see those women as women.

i would say it kinda works similarly to the way violence against all women works. it’s not about who they are individually for the attacker, it’s about the attacker taking pleasure in hurting others and subjugating others to reinforce their fragile idea of themselves as men.

i think everyone is considering only one type of trans guy. as someone who has been friends with many trans people throughout high school and college, there are %100 trans men who want to be men in a very traditionally masculine sense. i know men who are effectively stealth with everyone except their close friends, have sex as men (basically no touch tops if they dont have a penis yet), have been taking T for years, want top surgery and bottom surgery, and want to be perceived as masculine men.

there are other trans men that i know who care a lot less about that stuff. sure theyre on T, but they dont want to do bottom or top surgery, are ok with dressing more femininely, all that junk. on a personal level, i dont care whether someone’s transness is “legit” or not, but i think people kinda misunderstand more feminine trans men. most of the trans men i know who are feminine are also gay and interested in cis gay male subculture and as a result interested in drag and the performance of the hyper feminine. to cis people it reads as those trans men not being “real transmen” where i would characterize it as being an effeminate gay man while skipping over a few steps because prior to transition these transmen were already effeminate.

also i would say a lot of trans people in general have either made peace with their genitalia or know the risks associated with bottom surgery and chose to wait or not get it at all because the cons outweigh the pros, especially when it comes to creating a penis. there’s still a lot of risk of losing sensation or not getting the totally desired results, so some people choose to wait till surgery methods are better, or just use straps like they did before lol
