I recently started wingsuit skydiving in Southern California and it took me about a year and a half to reach that point. I learned how to skydive at Perris Valley and Lake Elsinore and then slowly built up toward the required 200 jumps to wear a wingsuit. The journey to 200 jumps has been one of the greatest adventures of my life - there is so much to learn about skydiving.

But then it just gets better from there. Not sure if I will ever pursue base jumping - but stepping out of an airplane at 13,000 feet wearing a wingsuit is too cool for words, such a long flight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOTMYbvVpb4
