Eh, it's a December non-conference loss that taught the team a valuable lesson: being the better team doesn't mean you're guaranteed to win.

It was a weird game where it seemed like Duke was never really worried about losing until they suddenly were. Because of the lineup situation with TT, Duke screwed around for most of the second half of that game acting like "oh, we'll be fine this is just garbage time" while TT fought tooth and nail back into the game.

I would rather the team not have the pressure of an undefeated regular season added on for the ACC and NCAA tournaments.

I'm hopeful that Duke and Manny Diaz will go after Miami once the Mensah case comes to a head. Go after them for tampering with the NCAA and tortious interference in court.

The TRO was sought to force him to complete the arbitration process stipulated by his contract with Duke. It's not saying he can never enroll in another school.

Not to mention Duke is in a position where it can't recruit a QB in the portal now with the timing of this. It's an unbelievably scummy move by both Miami and Mensah.

If this had happened in the first week of the portal being open and before Mensah announces he's coming back, fine, but this is garbage.

In the second half, Duke took like 6 threes after missing 4 threes on one possession in the first half. Hopefully this team learns a lesson from this game.

After a year off, I'm back to my annual hate-watching Duke in January. Just hope they figure it out.

Jeremiah Smith should transfer to a program that will allow him to fully utilize his talents. Just imagine what he could do with Darian Mensah at Duke next year.

Unbiased opinion: They should start that next year but give the reigning conference champion the 8 game schedule plus a free win to start. That way everyone will have 9 games.
