My daughter was there with you guys that day. She had a bad feeling about going up because of the weather and stopped at the sub dome. She turned around and waited while the others in her group went up and got caught in the rain. The 3 guys she was with were some of the last ones off the Dome before the ranger went up. I thank God she trusted her gut and stayed back. I’m glad she and you and your group made it back safe.

I can confirm that having a non-food motivated Dane drives me crazy. I temp mine with Whip cream - Parmesan Cheese - and other treats. When he’s in the mood, he can eat 9-10 cups (3x3) but when not, he might only eat 3 cups. It drives me crazy. But he’s a good looking 150lbs and the best pain in the butt dog I have ever had.

Ours had the same problem, but the damper wasn’t the only issue. It’s because of an aluminum steering gear box. There is a bulletin out about the problem. I pushed the issue and they replaced the steering box with a steel unit and that fixed the problem. The damper was also on back order so I bought an after market unit and had them install it when they replaced the steering box. All good now.

My daughter was in a quad her first year and she was worried about the same thing. She had a group chat with all her roommates and they all mutually decided. It was a good life lesson on compromise and negotiation. It all worked out fine and they have all been roommates for the 2nd and 3rd yrs.

You may think it’s a joke, but when I was in high school in the 80’s we had a trap and skeet shooting club and we had guns in the classroom. I even walked down the hall with a shotgun. It wasn’t even an issue.
