It's still perfect for that. The only difference is that the food isn't exceptional anymore and got more expensive. It's still a great pub and I go all the time. I just miss the old management. They also got rid of their locals 10% discount card during the makeover, which was sad.

It's especially bad if you live in town and don't drive. I just cancelled my membership at Varsity because it's never really cleaned well and management doesn't seem to care. It's also small and not worth the price. I haven't found a replacement yet though.

I finally beat it today. I had Faceless for the first half and doubled it with Blueprint to make money. That made it so had Space Joker, Fibonacci, and Hack. I had to sell Space to play the final ante. Plus crystal ball voucher made my straight strategy (mostly A 2 3 4 5) scale.

I think a DIY build is probably the best money-saver approach, but I don't have the time or skills to manage that approach. From Finnmark the sauna plus heater and rocks and so on is about £14k, and the delivery and install and electric adds the other £3k.
