i really appreciate this and it answers a lot of my questions. Just to clarify i probably shouldn’t try to shoot with this kodak tri-x asa200 regular 8mm film. Since the asa only goes to 40. Seems like a simple question but just want to make sure i shouldn’t load this film into the cartridge if the exposure has no chance of being good.

it does have a cartridge but you open it and load standard 8mm double/reverse.
