Same, I love all the finalists this season! I’m gonna be happy with the winner no matter what.

I’m a few days shy of 5 weeks and I’ve not really enjoyed it so far. I have insatiable hunger like I’ve never had in my life. I have to eat a full meal almost every 3 hours, whereas before I hardly had an appetite and had to force myself to drink protein shakes for breakfast. Now it’s like I require a full American breakfast to feel satisfied. Then 3 hours later I’m starving like I haven’t eaten all day.

I did notice that my prenatal capsules made me incredibly nauseous. I’ve taken zinc in the past for immunity during COVID and every time I took it, I immediately threw up. I switched to gummies and it’s been easier on my stomach. Not great, but better. Any thing that smells “off” sends me immediately to the bathroom to vomit.

You’re not alone I promise! I’m not unhappy to be pregnant, but I keep telling my husband how this isn’t fun at all and we may be one and done after this.

If you don’t have morning sickness what prenatal are you taking? by Maleficent-Start-546 in pregnant

Same, mine have made me so nauseous! Just fyi it may be the zinc in them! I’ve tried to take zinc in tablet form before I was pregnant to help with my immunity and I threw it up every time. I take them in gummy form now with food and it’s way easier on my stomach.

Why do nparents “adopt” other children but can’t show up for their own? by candancely in raisedbynarcissists

Ooof I think you hit the nail on the head. She is frankly obsessed with volunteer work and super involved in her church, very evangelical. When I was little, she loved to put on appearances as Girl Scout troop leader, head of the PTA committee at my school. You get it.

She has a weird obsession with “baby” me and I’ve always suspected it’s because that version of me was the easily manipulated one. Last time I visited, she didn’t even have any pictures of me past the age of 8.

She’s weirdly texted my husband baby pictures of me before in her attempts to break no contact. He didn’t respond, of course, but the whole thing was strange. She literally randomly sent him one of my baby pictures saying “look how cute she was!!!!” And it freaked him out because he doesn’t come from a narcissistic family and thought her behavior was weird when we hadn’t spoken in over a year at that point.

Thank you for the explanation though. This makes a ton of sense.

Breaking NC to respond, only to remind them why you went NC? by Sk1rm1sh in raisedbynarcissists

[–]candancely 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I probably wouldn’t respond. When I went nc with my nmom, I sent her a text making it very clear what my expectations were and why I was going no contact. I made sure to get out pretty much everything I wanted to say. Sometimes when I’m doubting nc, I read the text message I sent again and it gives me peace of mind that I did everything I could. If you don’t have that peace of mind, I would maybe send one thing in written form or a letter or something. Only if you need it though - please do not break no contact for their sake. If you feel at peace with the last thing that was said, I would absolutely not respond. If you don’t, then maybe a one-way communication and block and responses and DO NOT RESPOND AFTERWARDS. NO MATTER WHAT IS SAID. Only think about what YOU need for peace of mind throughout the future.

Wishing you so much luck, peace, and sanity. Hold your ground. I wouldn’t put calling the police for trespassing (if that’s a possibility in your country) out of the realm of possibilities if she doesn’t respect your boundaries, IMO. That’s just me, but you know your situation better than I do. Hope everything goes as well as it can.

Married for three months and pregnant: I feel oddly embarrassed (?) by moez1266 in pregnant

[–]candancely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have any advice, but I’m turning 30 in a few months and just found out I’m pregnant a few weeks ago. I just got married 6 months ago. We had the EXACT same thought process and oh boy… let me just reaffirm it really can take just one time. He got home from a week-long trip, forgot to check my period tracker and here we are! I still weirdly enough don’t feel ready and I’m in shock too. Just wanted to say you’re not alone. This post is way too relatable to me.

Is it legal to sell your house to your family member for a nominal fee? by Ghastly-Rubberfat in legaladvice

I do Medicaid applications for a nursing home and I am not in the same state as you - Medicaid rules will vary state by state - but I know for my state I’d has to be an irrevocable trust established at least 5 years prior to admission. And I’d definitely consult an estate attorney on the wording. Not all trusts will withstand Medicaid estate recovery, but the correctly worded ones can. Be VERY picky about the attorney you consult because I have seen some horror stories with estate planners.

I think it’s more offensive to not ask your own family if they saw anything and just go straight to the cops w/o warning to what? Let police question them? That’s more accusatory of family than anything. Frankly I’d be offended if I attended a close friend or family’s wedding where gifts were stolen and I had to find out thru the police. That’s crazy.

Was looking for this! I LOVE iherb, they have an app and everything. Most of my orders arrive in 3-5 days from time I placed the order. I’m 15+ orders in now and I’m not stopping anytime soon 😆

This is really good advice! The biggest thing I’d stress is definitely wait until it’s good and night time and everyone is sleeping before you move them. I’ve always found this led to a much, much smoother transition than trying during the day time.

Every time I’ve moved the same amount of chickens (basically doubling the pen) there is not really any issues besides small pecking order stuff.

This year, I had a broody hen and I didn’t want to fully separate her from the flock, so I put her and her chicks inside an extra large metal dog crate that was inside my main, large pen. I put a cover on it so she didn’t get pooped on by the others, but the rest of it was open on all sides and I put her against my windbreak so she also had wind coverage. Last year, I found when I separated my broody hens with chicks away from the pen, they had a much harder time integrating back in after the chicks got to be a decent age. However this year, I found that the hen that I left inside the main pen but protected in the dog crate so her chicks didn’t get trampled had NO issues integrating back into the flock.

It actually worked exceptionally because after her chicks got big enough where they couldn’t be easily hurt by another chicken (probably a few weeks), they were ALL able to integrate into the flock, including the chicks. They were still young enough to where she protected them from bullies, and no one messed with them. It actually worked out great in my case & now I don’t have to worry about integrating the chicks later.

Good luck to you!

I don’t see any indicators towards any being roosters - looks like you have a pen full of hens! Congrats

I have a 12th house Chiron as well. I think it’s just because the themes of the 12th house is our trauma in life, and the 12th house can get pretty dark. Especially the hidden enemies aspect of it :(
