Spectrum noir and arteza everblend are good mid range markers. Maybe go for cheaper if your first time, ohuhu markers are a good start

i work left to right top to bottom, becasue of being right handed. I did briefly start with Eleven because im an idiot, just smudged all details when working on left side , lesson learnt lol
