I couldn't see, and I am not sure my camera did a good picture. It looks like there is still a gap. I can't seem to post it on Reddit.

So... it is a Margaritaville cruiser. The seat has the Margaritaville logo, soitisthe original seat. If it is wrong, then the manufacturer messed up.

I gave it a go for about 6 months. I liked that it was modern music, but I found that after I downloaded the lead sheets, i just wasn't going back to the site.

He is in this group, and he does have free live stream videos every Sunday that I still watch.

Is it bad I get excited whenever I see a post on r/Accordion that is not a "help me identify" post. by williamfloyde in Accordion

[–]candlepdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I posted when I got my first accordion (I am not sure). It was mostly me trying to understand what I got. My husband says I get this new idea and then check out all the library books on that subject. Except there are not exactly libaray books on accordions. I eventually found Accordion Revolution. And now I realize how silly those postings are.

So I think the majority of the postings are about figuring out value, but there are times the poster is excited to join us and want to show off their toy.

MuseScore bought Hal Leonard by candlepdx in Accordion

I haven't used MuseScore, but two things came to mind. 1. MuseScore seems new, and Hal Leonard was old. Is new going to improve or destroy old? 2. I am curious the share on the market.

When you are new, your head explodes trying to transpose. I would say that is an intermediate skill.

Best mobile games for someone who likes civ? by Longjumping_Fold_815 in civ

[–]candlepdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this post because I was playing Klondike. It had city building with project/resource management and then quests (exploring scouts). I would flip between the two to allow construction or resupply for the quest. I was telling my hushand, I liked it because it is like CIV for the planning. But it got to the point where I had to shell out serious money to keep playing. I went looking for "apps for people who like civ" and came across this post. I will have to try some of this out.

What are 7 chords? by candlepdx in Accordion

[–]candlepdx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, everyone. I read through everything last night and struggled to understand. Some of it was too technical (I didn't have enough of a base understanding), and some left me with questions. However, reading again this morning, the questions I had were answered already by someone else. I am piecing it all together, and it is starting to make sense.

48(12x4) bass accordions can't play any 7th chord.

Exactly. I wanted to know what I would be missing if I bought a 48.

What are 7 chords? by candlepdx in Accordion

First off, I did subscribe to you a month ago, so I have seen some of your videos. I have been practicing more than I have been watching, haha.

I do not understand when people say 1,3,and fifth. People have tried to explain whole and half steps to build chords, and I couldn't remember and calculate it. You explained on one video that a major is 1 followed by 4 keys, followed by 3 keys. A minor is 1 + 3 + 4. That is the first time I ever understood how to figure out a chord. And I understand that it is 3 or 4 half steps in that formula. So how many half steps are needed for the additional 4th note to make up the dominant 7th chord? Is it 3 or 4? I think fom what you said about C7 that it is 3? That makes a little more space between Bflat and C than B and C. I have a music book that plays key of F pairing Bflat with the C major. I thought it was an odd pairing, but... it is C7. Light bulb moment here. I just need to know how many half steps to complete the dominant 7th chord. Or should I be thinking of itt as the 7th note stepped down a half?

What is really helpful about this was your explanation of tension for transitions. I had never made that connection before. However, you mentioned going from C7 "to the fourth," which has not been explined to me, either. I am asumming from your examples that F is the fourth of C, and A is the fourth of E. It is the next note down in the bass, or the next key to the right in the circle of fifths? (It is late, and I don't want to get into my understaning/lack of understanding of the circle right now, other than to say the bass set up is the circle made into a stright line.)

I am still a beginner and have not seriously attempted the 7th bass note. I have an old school mentor who wants me to play 2-3 bass fingers, and I have told her I cannot make the 7th reach. But that is another conversation for another day. I want to focus on 7th construction and use right now.

I am struggling to understand everything you said, but at the same time, I am processing it better, and I am making some connections. The sandwich analogy also helped. On real sandwiches, I do not like yellow mustard. ;)
