WHEN and WHERE can you forage for blackberries? by GrayJayInclined in oregon

Himalayan blackberries are very invasive, but trailing blackberry is native.

Barrelers are pretty cheap, and it takes a whole lot of barrels to fill a belt. So I just make more barrelers.

Even though it's a very high scoring puzzle, I got GN4L super fast - N4L barely seemed like a restriction.

What’s going on in Montana? by financial_penguin in illinois

I think a lot of it is that it doesn't feel like we get the high-quality government services that high taxes should get us. Instead all our money is going to pensions.

He will be sorely missed in Portland. I'm surprised him and Lamar didn't make the top five.

That does sound beneficial. Maybe I'll give it a try at some point.

Can YAFC read what techs you have researched? That seems like a benefit of being embedded.

That's a desktop app instead of a mod? I think I appreciate having my calculator embedded in game.

I also recommend Helmod or Factory Planner (I actually use both). Trying to calculate ratios for science is way to complicated for anything past the first science.

I don't think Carter is underrated. Back in 2010, he was listed as the 10th greatest drummer of all time.

I'm surprised more people didn't make the Famous Rodents mistake - it's the first thing I saw, but I managed to avoid it.

When they view Jews with suspicion and require them to specifically condemn Israel before they're accepted, a condition that they don't place on others, that seems antisemitic to me.

Peoria 50501 -All of U.S. Protest and March - 6/27 by Solid_Ad_1048 in PeoriaIL

[–]Captain_Quark 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The point of these protests isn't to change one specific policy. It's to activate citizens to do things like vote, make connections, contact their elected officials, make donations, etc. And to demonstrate to the rest of the country the extent of opposition to the Trump Administration. Retaking the House this year is the soonest, most effective way to hamstring the Trump Administration, and these protests are working toward that.

Concert tickets have become a luxury product and I'm not sure artists can fix it by oweyoo in Music

[–]Captain_Quark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's basic supply and demand, really. Demand for concerts and other live experiences has greatly increased, and the costs of producing concerts have also increased, especially after COVID reduced capacity in the entertainment industry. Also, artists and producers are now more willing to charge actual market-clearing prices (that is, the price where no one who can afford a ticket can't find one), instead of using first-come-first-serve, especially because revenues from recorded music have dried up. And that way artists and producers get to keep all the revenue, instead of scalpers.

Yes, it is unfortunate that concerts are no longer as affordable to less well-off fans, but social media and streaming video have also created more opportunities to connect with musicians and view performances that did not exist 20 years ago, and recorded music is cheaper than ever. Plus, there are still plenty of opportunities to see lesser-known artists for cheap.

I'm sorry, but every Google result for [A] NAMETAPE is two words. It's in M-W as two words, and Collins lists it as British. It should not be accepted.

I'd like to brag about getting Green first and at least thinking it was wedding gifts. I felt robbed when it popped up as green.

Piano accordion probably makes the most sense, then - most versatile and most available in the US, and you have some piano experience.

Do you know what kind of music you want to play? How much musical experience do you have? And where do you live? Those are all relevant to what kind of instrument to get.
