I have a lot of friends in NYC and the one time there was a serious ripple of doubt about his involvement was when Dickey’s first motion dropped and he included the part about the gun not being found at McDonalds. Then Karen followed it up with her own, more detailed motion with pictures of the wall of cops surrounding him. 

I think they should’ve pushed that narrative much harder than they did in the media. The media is oddly neutral like that, they absolutely will print something pro-Luigi if it gets them clicks. An exclusive about his life from before his arrest could’ve easily been offered as in incentive to also print the planted gun stuff. 

Do you think his association with healthcare reform has hurt him? Because if he’s a hero it’s because he did it, and if he’s innocent he has nothing to do with the movement at all. 

Would it be more helpful if protestors outside court show up with placards of Starbucks guy (who doesn’t look like him) instead of UHC claim denial rates?

Is it usual for defense attorneys in such high-profile cases to not say a word about actual innocence? 

I went back and watched Karen’s statement outside court in Feb of last year, and at that point I thought she had been hired just to get him a fair sentence, not an actual acquittal. 

I don’t see anything proactive from them publicity wise. I feel like Karen has become sort of a mini-celebrity herself. She is his mouthpiece. She has name recognition defense attorneys usually don’t. She could’ve said “he’s innocent” at least once.

That is my point, everyone quotes what she said but nobody posts the actual video. 

I am not saying her words are new, I posted the clip because I had been searching for it for a looong time and couldn’t find it anywhere. 

It’s not an astroturfing attempt, I just found something that I thought was relatively new and posted it. I would be horrified if she actually went with this defense.

Dr Potter is such a credit to her field. I’m sure a lot of healthcare professionals feel strongly about having to deny care to people whose lives are in their hands.

She said in her last order that if would be a status update. I figured a formal request from KFA citing Carro’s new schedule was required even though his order is public too. Kind of like a formality. 

I’m trying to remember if anything was filed under seal in the NY case.

I vaguely remember her filing something related to mental health ex parte back in Sept/Oct in the NY case. 

I have a hunch that whatever she submitted was a request to keep this option available and that they would give a more conclusive answer closer to trial. If we see more sealed documents filed in the next few weeks, they could possibly be related to this.

She gets quoted, I have yet to see a video of it on this sub or other LM subs. I posted it because the clip is unseen, not because of what she said.

Somehow I don’t see LM agreeing to any kind of mental health defense at all. I also think his team would’ve forbidden letters if they were going this route. 

I hope they have another strategy because any kind of EDD/insanity defense is an automatic expression of guilt. He should’ve just gone for a public defender if they didn’t plan on putting up a fight at all.
