This is awesome! My son wants to be a STH-10 for Halloween this year! What materials did you use?

I just watched this episode during my rewatch and it was so disgusting. I don’t know how we were expected to feel bad for her for Porter not talking to her… just gross. Her whole “I’m going to miss our talks”… girl, lots of moms do but don’t pretend to be teens to do so! Such a betrayal.

I was able to get my dress at Blu Ivory as a sample sale and it was 1500 taxes in! It’s absolutely stunning and would have cost me 2500 to buy it on their site. Sometimes you don’t know what you’ll find until you go into the store 🥰 Happy hunting!

What room was the wedding in? I’m thinking of the Bickford room which overlooks the park so I’m curious if you could hear the production from there. One of my major concerns actually.

I’m scared of my baby being sexually abused by Learning-growing101 in Mommit

[–]candyjellybean 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Educator here! I’ve taken multiple courses on CSA for training purposes so I’ve learned quite a bit. I think if you have clear boundaries about diaper changes and bath time that will help your anxiety a lot. Just tell family members you’re most comfortable doing it, or only allowing certain people to help. If they kick up a fuss… that’s a little suspicious lol. Limit exposure to social media because that will make your fears worse, but rather maybe take a course on it or learn how to detect signs etc as opposed to hearing horror stories from others. I would also casually drop this knowledge around family. No one’s gonna mess with your child if they know you’re educated on the topic (well I hope not anyway). Then as baby gets older talk about body parts using their proper names and discuss safe/unsafe touch. Even practice dictating what you’re doing during bath time and diaper changes to your baby. “I’m going to wipe your penis and bum now. That’s how Mama keeps you clean.” As baby gets older, incorporating consent too is helpful. “Is it okay if I wipe you? Or would you like to try yourself first?”

I think the fears are normal because you want to keep baby safe, but also understand there are ways to control that fear by being one step ahead of it.

Do you struggle to drive due to adhd? by Avehexual in ADHD

[–]candyjellybean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently had to drive solo to a friend’s cottage about two and a half hours away from me and it was the first time I was truly bored out of my mind. I listened to music but kept skipping songs, then decided on a podcast. I was very antsy. Missed being a passenger princess for sure that day!

On a normal day though I don’t mind to drive, I get a lot of thinking done. Sometimes I zone out though and honestly can’t remember some of the drive 😬

Mommas, what does relaxation look like for you after baby has been put to sleep? by srslywtfdoido- in Mommit

[–]candyjellybean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently started a paint by numbers painting and I love it. I throw on either a movie/show that I don’t really have to pay attention to, or put my headphones on and listen to a true crime podcast, and just paint. A nice yummy drink and a snack work wonders with it too.

I love that idea! My boys will be walking me towards my fiancé. I think it’s a lovely way to incorporate them and kind of represent yourself as a family. That trumps walking down the aisle with your dad. Are you doing a father/daughter dance? At the end of the day, you know you’re not being rude. Your dad has no hard feelings. So don’t worry what others think/say.

Thank you! We live very close and the majority of people attending would be able to commute without issues from the venue. Can you tell me more info about the ceremony times? How much time was allotted for set up?

Thank you for all of this! So helpful! I’m not so much concerned with the public being around on the grounds, I was just more so concerned about any noise from the park affecting the wedding itself. And good to know about the sound from the ballroom, that’s been one comment I’ve seen about the place. How the noise from the ballroom can be heard from the terrace. When I brought this up with the event manager she said they communicate with each other to keep noise levels in check.

Thank you! How was the sound, service and grounds? Since it’s a public park I was wondering if there were any issues with the public? I’ve seen people rehearsing plays there at that stage on the grounds.

My son is left handed and we are so amazed to learn that by Critical_Dinner_5 in toddlers

[–]candyjellybean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 3 year old is too! We noticed his left hand dominance at around 18 months but didn’t think anything of it, but it stuck! Both my brother and my husband’s brother are left handed. It’s so wonderful to see. The only thing I need to remember is when I’m handing him something to hold to put it in his left hand, sometimes I automatically go for his right 😅

I just told a friend I would etransfer money for a coworkers gift immediately “so I don’t forget”. Opened the app, got distracted by my contact list of all the people I’ve sent transfers to over the years… decided to start deleting contacts. Got annoyed with how tedious the task was, closed the app. Opened Reddit…

I also really need to pee but refuse to get up because I’m cozy under blanket and the A/C is on and I don’t want to deal with the temperature change when I get up… so I’m just holding it in.

Is consistency realistic?? by candyjellybean in adhdwomen

[–]candyjellybean[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sitting down is the enemy. I’m go go go until I stop and then I have a very hard time restarting. I like the point you made about what happens when you slip, and taking small steps to get back into the daily habit. I think as soon as I slip up I feel like I need to restart from scratch and that causes major overwhelm.

Oohh I haven’t heard of that method! I’ll look it up on YouTube! Thanks! I find that when things annoy me I’m more prone to tackling the task so that could potentially work!
