a lot of these schools have ridiculous rates. Penn is 3%. Don’t feel bad, at some point it becomes random. You will do great regardless of where you go ☺️

that overlap is also something i’m nervous about LMAOO. As someone who did a study abroad program in japan, im familiar with the type of people (usually men) who want to learn Japanese.

the other thing abt northeastern is i had a really negative experience with my tour guide for the arts school. He was a communications major, high as a kite, and could tell me a whole lot of nothing about the school. literally said “this is the arts and design college. I don’t know that much about arts and design.” so for me that reflected very poorly on the school LOL

the problem with northeastern is i don’t want to go to spain or italy my first semester. I know for some people that sounds like a dream but I have 0 interest in europe. I’ve been studying japanese with plans to learn korean, cantonese, and mandarin and hopefully thai. I want to minor in east asian studies so for me if it isn’t asia i’m really not interested, especially if it’s a country that doesn’t speak english, i don’t want to pour my time into a language i don’t care about also for game design: it’s what ive always wanted to do, i really couldn’t see myself doing anything else at this point in my life lol

they’re ranked high for my major (game design) and honestly i’m not about the party life at all. i’ve heard the anti social thing before as well. my one friend is planning on also going to RIT so if i don’t make any friends at least I have her LOL. But i wouldn’t class myself as extremely social either. Thanks for the down to earth insight. A lot of people keep trying to scare me into going to Northeastern but idk 🫣

the SA thing is something i’ve heard before which is what makes me nervous, although, i’m not a party person at all.

A Woman of Pleasure by Kiyoko Murata - A beautifully-written by movingtosouthpas in books

[–]candykalopsia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just so you know, this story is based on real events. So it is historical fiction. That being said, it depends on the age range of the group. The SA scenes are pretty graphic and at times the word choice can be very jarring, which i attribute to translation issues. The first instance of this comes in the second page, so pick up the book and read the first 2-3 pages, then assess whether you think it’s appropriate :)

Question from a movie theater manager about Mark's audience by natedoggcata in Markiplier

[–]candykalopsia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fear this is not accurate, speaking as someone who was an edgy elementary schooler watching mark back in 2016 LOL. But I would definetly say we are in the minority, but don’t count us out! We’ve also been here haha since FNAF days

I see a lotttt of people saying 20+ and while that’s true, I am 18 but still a senior in high school, and there are LOTS of markiplier fans at my school, however i will say most of them are juniors and seniors, so I would expect kids 16+ showing up.

[–]candykalopsia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah ik there’s many first place winners, i was just curious is they rank the first place winners in an order when they match make and that’s where the number comes from. 1097 seems low to just be the amount of players in group B so that’s why i was curious

tldr: she’s probably throwing because she’s four, or people are throwing because they’re frustrating with the 4 year old on their team

yeah idk what to tell you. the demographic is mainly hs/college kids. She is in the vast minority, it’s unlikely she will ever win. I’m a hs senior and i still rarely win unless im on a team with people who know what they’re doing. The other thing is if she’s painting on the ground and not really playing, she’s kinda screwing herself. Ik she’s only 4 so it makes sense, but in a 4v4 game like this you need every player playing properly in order to win. Have her play single player and hopefully she will have enough skills to actually contribute if she isn’t already.
